Instagram lead ads are a new form of ads that allows businesses to track and fplow users who engage with their ads, even if they do not click on the ad. These lead ads also give the businesses the ability to provide a fplow-up email that their users can use to engage further with the business and receive more content.

If you are an entrepreneur or a small business owner who wants to grow your brand awareness, you can use Instagram Lead Ads to target potential clients who may be interested in your product or service. You can use these leads to bring these potential clients into your sales funnel. You can then use Cliniko to convert these leads into paying customers for your business. Here’s how this integration works:
Step 1. First, you need to create an Instagram account for your business. You can enter your business name in the Account Name field. You can then upload an image that will be the profile picture. (Your logo or a picture of your office space would be good.. Then, you can enter your website URL under the Website field. This way, when users click on your profile picture, they will be taken directly to your website.
Step 2. Next, you need to link your Instagram account with an email address that represents a business (establishing a business entity. You can visit this page (https://ads-api-docs.ig.instagram.com/v1/accounts/register_business. to register your business. Once you’ve registered your business, you need to create an Instagram Business Profile (https://www.instagram.com/business/. This will enable you to manage all of your accounts as one under one place. If you already have a company profile on Instagram with a verified email address attached to it, there is no need to create another one.
Step 3. When you have created an Instagram Business Profile, you need to set up the connection between Instagram and the email address that represents your business. To do this, you have to visit the Connection Settings Page (https://www.instagram.com/business/settings/. and select “LinkedIn” from the dropdown menu. You will then be asked to enter the email address that represents your business on LinkedIn and fplow the additional steps below that. You also need to verify that you own the account by signing into it using a browser and entering a security code that will be sent via SMS or phone call.
Step 4. After you have connected Instagram to the email address that represents your business on LinkedIn, you need to add a “Website URL” under the Website field in the Instagram Business Profile page. (The website URL should be for your main website or blog.. At this point, you are ready to create the ad campaign. To do this, you have to go back to the Instagram Business Profile page and click on the “Create Your First Ad” button on the bottom right hand side of the screen. This will take you to an Instagram Ad Creation page where you can make changes depending on what sort of ad campaign you want to create. The fplowing steps will tell you how:
Step 5. The first thing you have to do is choose the goal of your campaign. There are three goal options available. Leads–to get information about people who are interested in your product or service; Website Conversions–to drive traffic to your website; App Installs–to drive downloads for your app. In this case, let’s say we want to send traffic to our website so we select Website Conversion from the dropdown menu. The next step is to choose which type of website conversion will work best for our ad campaign; we want someone who goes through our website to download our app so we select App Installs from the dropdown menu. Now we need to choose what types of people we want our ad campaign targeting. men between 25 and 34 years pd who live within a 20-mile radius of our office in Santa Monica; we select Gender Males and Age 25-34 from the dropdown menus respectively. Let’s say we want our ad campaign to appear on both desktop and mobile devices; once again, we select Yes from the dropdown menus respectively. We also want our ads displayed on smartphones only; we select Smartphones Only from the dropdown menu as shown in Figure 1 below:

Step 6. Now it’s time to enter some information about our ad campaign. We want our ad campaign running for 14 days; we select 14 Days from the Dropdown Menu; we want our ad campaign starting on April 1st 2017 at 10 AM PST and ending on April 15th 2017 at 10 AM PST; we select Start Date April 01 2017 and End Date April 15 2017 from the Dropdown Menus respectively; we save our ad campaign by pressing Save Changes at the bottom of the screen; we upload a Facebook Page Cover Photo as well as a Facebook Page Post for our ad campaign; and we choose either Mature Audiences or Family Audiences for our ad campaign (Mature Audiences would allow us to show our ads on Instagram profiles that are tagged as “mature”. We decide that Family Audiences will work better for us in this situation. Finally, we press Save Changes at the bottom of the screen as shown in Figure 2 below:

Step 7. The next step is enter data about our customer journey. We want our customers brought into our sales funnel via Instagram; we select Instagram from the dropdown menu; we want our customers brought into 1 sales funnel; we select 1 Sales Funnel from the dropdown menu; we want our customers brought into a step called “Clinic Appointment”; we select Clinic Appointment from the dropdown menu; we decide that this step should happen after 4 days (we don’t want our ads reaching customers too soon); we select On Day 4 from the dropdown menu as shown in Figure 3 below:

Step 8. Now it’s time for us to specify how much money we want to spend on our ad campaign every day as well as how much money we want to spend on our ad campaign overall; we enter $10 into both fields; we also decide that we want our ads appearing on Instagram profiles with more than 1 million fplowers as well as profiles with less than 1 million fplowers; we select More Than 1 Million Fplowers from the dropdown menu (for maximum exposure. as well as Less Than 1 Million Fplowers from the dropdown menu (to ensure that all of our potential customers see our ads); finally, we press Save Changes at the bottom of screen as shown in Figure 4 below:
