As mentioned previously, HTML/CSS to Image converts HTML pages into images. The front-end language of its website is HTML and CSS. On the backend of its website, it uses an open source program called PhantomJS2 to render the HTML pages as images. After the website is rendered as an image, it uses MongoDB as a database.
To make this work, we need to install PhantomJS and MongoDB on the computer where we will be running the code (Linux or Mac. Then we need to configure them with their respective dependencies and setup our server with npm and git. After we have installed and configured everything, we can start up our server and test out our code with a basic example.
Since this project is hosted on Heroku, we do not need to set up our own server. We will just be using Heroku to test out our code. But if we were hosting our own server, we would need to write the web server. We would also need to write the client for PhantomJS and MongoDB so they can communicate with each other.
