Gravity Forms is a WordPress plugin that allows you to create advanced survey forms quickly and easily. In addition to basic form fields, Gravity Forms includes conditional logic, redirects, user management, file uploads, CAPTCHA, custom data validation, and more. There are dozens of pre-built add-ons to extend the functionality of your forms.
Storenvy is an ecommerce platform for selling digital and physical goods. Using Storenvy, you can make digital downloads, sell physical items like clothing and 3D printed objects, or even run a subscription service. Your Storenvy site has its own domain name and email address, so it’s not part of your WordPress site.
There are two ways to integrate Gravity Forms and Storenvy. one is via a plugin, the other is via API integration. The second option is more expensive because you have to pay for setup time. But the first option is easier to set up and requires no extra cost. So if you’re just getting started, we recommend the first option.
Gravity Forms has a free plugin that integrates with Storenvy (scrpl down to find it. Install the plugin and activate it on your WordPress site. Now you’re ready to start creating forms that send submissions to Storenvy.
To create a new form for your store, go to Store in your user dashboard at Storenvy.com. Then click “Create a new form” from the left sidebar menu. Name your form, then choose “Gravity Forms” from the drop-down menu below “Preferred method of receiving submissions from this form.” You can also include a description and logo for your form if you want. When you’re ready to create your form, click “Create form!” The next screen will show you your store’s shopping cart URL (yourstorename.storenvy.com/cart/. as well as a shortcode that you can embed in your website template code (on our site, it looks like this [gravityform id=1 /]. This is the code that will convert your form into a live Shop page on Storenvy once users start filling out their information. Note that regardless of which option you choose here, each submission will have a post ID associated with it. The post ID is the same whether you use the shortcode or API integration, but the shortcode may be more convenient for many users since it does not require additional coding on your end.
Next you’ll be able to customize your fields by clicking on “Customize your fields!” at the bottom of the page. Each field has its own settings page where you can define how it appears on your website as well as what information it cplects from users who fill it out. If you choose to get specific with fields or design them in a certain way, feel free to do so—the only piece of information required for each submission is the user’s name (and email address if you wish to cplect it.
When you’re finished adding fields to your form, scrpl down and click “Save this form!” You can then preview how it will appear on your website by clicking “Preview this form!” or save and publish it by clicking “Add this form to my store!” Remember that once you publish your form, anyone who visits your site will be able to see it and fill it out—this form will not appear on your Storenvy site until users actually begin submitting their information. If you want to tweak anything before publishing, click “Revise this form!” instead. Then when you want Storenvy to receive submissions from your form, click “Start cplecting submissions!” You can come back here any time after that point and change any of the fields or information cplected through the form by clicking on “Manage this form!” from the Storenvy homepage. Integrating Gravity Forms into your ecommerce business gives you an easy way to cplect customer information through surveys and feature requests in addition to sales receipts. This enables you to build better relations with customers by getting their feedback on what they like about products or services they purchase from you as well as what improvements they would like to see in the future. You can then use this information in a variety of ways that benefit both you and your customers—for example, if someone submits a request for a new feature or product, you can take action on those requests by reaching out via email or text message to let them know if their request is being fulfilled or if there isn’t anything available right now but that something might be available in the future. Integrating a simple survey into your store also lets you gather more detailed information about what people are buying as well as what they’re excited about buying in the future as well as what they think could be improved upon in products they already purchased from you—you can then use this data to inform future product development efforts as well as to give customers opportunities to provide feedback in real time during certain events like Black Friday or Christmas shopping season.
