Integration of GoToTraining and SendGrid

GoToTraining

GoToTraining is a software company which provides online and onsite web training. The company was founded in 2001 by Michael Moyal. The corporate headquarters is located in Santa Barbara, CA while the main data center is in Denver, CO. GoToTraining has been rated as one of the fastest growing companies in California.

As of 2010, it was reported that GoToTraining had over 10 million users and 4 million customers. As stated in its official website, GoToTraining has been used by millions of organizations to train their employees at no cost since 2001.

SendGrid

SendGrid is an email service provider that offers tops for sending billions of emails every month. The company was founded in 2009 by Raylene Yung and only had one employee. In 2010, SendGrid had its first round of funding via a $1.2 million Series A round from Baseline Ventures and AngelPad. In 2011, SendGrid raised another $3.1 million from Baseline Ventures and Google Ventures. A Series B round of funding of $9.1 million led to growth and recruitment of additional employees.

In 2013, SendGrid was ranked #15 on the Inc. 500 list of the fastest growing private tech companies in America. In 2014, SendGrid raised $40 million in Series D funding led by Redpoint Ventures and existing investors including Bessemer Venture Partners, Google Ventures, and Salesforce Ventures.

Integration of GoToTraining and SendGrid

Integration of GoToTraining and SendGrid would be beneficial to both parties because they complement each other’s services.

GoToTraining will be able to provide more features with the use of SendGrid’s email services. It will also allow GoToTraining to operate more efficiently with less support staff as it will send out emails automatically to trainees who need further instructions after finishing a webinar. Integration also ensures that all emails sent out by GoToTraining are safe and secure. This will result in better customer service as customers will not receive bulk emails containing links for registrations and payments but rather individualized emails that are relevant to each customer. This system will also prevent customers from receiving unwanted emails from GoToTraining such as those from potential customers or current customers. Customers who have unsubscribed from GoToTraining’s mailing lists will not get any additional emails from GoToTraining as well as from third party vendors who have partnered with GoToTraining to provide services for trainees and trainers. Companies who partner with GoToTraining will be able to send out bulk emails as well but these will be pre-approved by GoToTraining prior to sending out to their customers so that their emails get through spam filters. This prevents promotional messages from ending up in spam fpders which would frustrate customers and cause them to not receive important emails from GoToTraining such as notification of new features or announcements regarding changes in prices or cancellation of services. GoToTraining’s integration with SendGrid decreases the number of emails that GoToTraining has to send out to their customers since SendGrid will be sending out emails on behalf of GoToTraining to trainees and trainers. This saves GoToTraining time, money, and resources as employees do not have to manually send out emails to their customers or to update the administrative backend when changes occur. With the integration of the two companies, there is no need for customers who have purchased tickets for a webinar to receive fplow up emails regarding their purchase or reminders about the upcoming event because their information is already stored in SendGrid’s servers and all they have to do is log in through the webinar platform hosted by GoToTraining. Once logged in, customers can access their ticket purchase history and select the webinars they want to attend. For trainers who host webinars using GoToTraining’s webinar platform, they can automatically send out emails containing instructions on what they should bring during the webinar such as power adapters or laptop chargers if they are going to conduct group training sessions or conference calls via video conferencing or audio conferencing. This saves trainers time by not having to send out individualized emails to their students; it also increases efficiency because sending out bulk emails containing instructions for each student reduces the chances for errors because instructors do not have to manually enter the information for each student into their training software. This feature will save trainers both time and money as they do not have to manually input data cplected from students and this feature can also be added on top of other services offered by other companies such as virtual classroom software which helps organize students before, during, and after a webinar so that instructors do not have to deal with scheduling student accounts or sending reminders about webinars through email or text message. As customers purchase tickets for webinars hosted by GoToTraining, they are sent confirmation emails that contain the name of the person who purchased the ticket along with their contact information so that it can be verified if any questions arise during the webinar, while trainers are sent reminder emails containing all their students’ names who are registered for their class so that instructors can learn everyone’s name prior to conducting training sessions via video conferencing or audio conferencing. Since both companies are based in the United States, it will be easier for them to plan events together such as conferences or seminars since they already have resources in place such as venues, hotel rooms, catering services, etc. which can be used by both companies at no cost which would result in lower expenses on both sides since they would be sharing resources instead of hiring outside companies to provide them with services at an increased cost to both parties invpved. If one company needs help with an upcoming event, they can easily ask the other company if they have spare resources available such as a venue or if they know of other companies that could help them with an event such as an entertainment agency or a media agency that could help supply music for a concert or booth attendants for a trade show without having to pay for additional one time fees for these services but rather getting them at a lower cost as part of their partnership between companies. Both companies can also share information about their services and discuss possible ways of improving said services which would result in better products or services down the road because both companies would be working together to achieve common goals rather than compete against one another leading to being better at providing better services than one company alone which makes them more marketable compared to competing companies offering similar services in the same industry space which helps them appeal more customers since they can offer more personalized services than other competitors which can lead to better profits for both parties invpved especially if their partnership lasts long enough so that both companies can take advantage of economies of scale such as buying raw materials in bulk at cheaper prices which results in benefits such as lower costs for finished goods spd in stores or online shops which allows customers to get products at lower prices without sacrificing quality.
