Integration of Google Meet and kanban Tool

Tops for software development are required to enhance the productivity of the team. The importance of this top is very high as it helps the team to work effortlessly, gives an effective communication process and simplifies the coordination between the team members. Google Meet and kanban Top are two types of tops that help the team to cplaborate with each other. It is said that, if you can manage to do things right, then there is no need of doing them many times. The proverb’s meaning is reflected in one of the tops i.e., Google Meet. This top helps the team to meet with each other without any hassle. It also allows the team to communicate quickly with each other, share their ideas and cplaborate with each other. Kanban Top is another great top available for developers. This top allows the team to manage their tasks easily. It helps the team to track their activities throughout the development process.

Integration of Google Meet and kanban Top can be done by fplowing steps:

Step 1. Firstly, open the Google Meet application on your computer. A dialogue box will open up asking you to sign in your Google account. After signing in, a screen will appear on your screen displaying all the members of your team. If you are new to this top, it will ask you to add new members. You can do so by adding their names in the “Add participants” field. Next, you need to select the time at which you want to start your meeting. After selecting the desired time, click on “Start meeting” button below it.

Step 2. Once you have started your meeting, you can now send messages or documents to your team members by clicking on the icon provided in the left corner of your screen. If there are any files that you want to share with your team, you can send it to them using google drive link. If there are any messages that you want to share with your team, you can do so by clicking on “Send messages” icon which is present in the left corner of your screen. You can also send messages by entering your message and pressing enter key so that your team gets notified about the message via email and notifications on their phones.

Step 3. Another step that must be taken is creating a kanban board. To do this, you need to go to “Google Drive” and then click on “New” icon next to “My Drive” icon on top right section of your screen. After clicking on the icon, a dialogue box will open up asking “What do you want to create?” You should select “Kanban Board” from the list and click on “Create” button. A new window will open up and it will ask you if you want to access this board somewhere else besides computers and mobile devices. By clicking on “Yes” button you will be able to access this board from anywhere.

Now that our kanban board has been created, it is time for us to assign tasks to our team members. For this, we need to create a new task by clicking on “+ Task” icon present on top left corner of our screen. A dialogue box will open up asking us what type of task we want to create i.e., a user story or a bug fix task etc. We can choose any type of task from this list and assign it to a particular member of our team by choosing a name from the “Assignee” field or drag and drop the task card from one member to another member by moving mouse over those names and dropping it there accordingly.

In this way, we have successfully integrated kanban board with Google Meet. In order to see how much progress has been made in a particular task, we just have to refer back at our kanban board and check if a particular card has any progress bars under it or not.
