  • I personally use both Google Tasks and LinkedIn and love how each of these websites help me get things done. To integrate these two websites, I would like to see the ability to connect your LinkedIn profile to your Google Tasks. This would allow you to see what tasks you have on your professional profile. It would also allow you to send emails to your contacts via Google Tasks if you want to ask them to work on a project with you. Another way they could integrate would be if when you post a job opening on LinkedIn it would automatically populate into your Google Tasks as a task so that you can keep track of who applied for the job. In addition to this integration, I would also like to see the ability to invite contacts via LinkedIn directly into your Google Tasks. I would like to do this because sometimes I don’t want the contact’s email address or personal phone number. If I do not want the person’s personal information, I would still like to be able to communicate with the person via their professional information. This way I will have all the information I need without having the person’s personal information.

  • There are many benefits of integrating Google Tasks and LinkedIn together. An obvious benefit would be the ability for professionals to stay on top of their tasks without having to go back and forth between different applications. Another benefit would be the ability to use LinkedIn as an alternative to making appointments in your Google Calendar. Now you can just send a task or appointment request through Gmail and it will be available in your calendar. Another benefit would be that it makes it so much easier to find someone’s email address if they are on your LinkedIn network and vice versa. When someone sends an email out on LinkedIn, you will automatically get the same email on your Gmail account as well as being able to send an email right from LinkedIn. One last benefit I wanted to mention was the ability for businesses to be able to promote products and services on Google Tasks; this might help increase productivity for businesses and could also lead customers to their business. For example, let’s say that Business X wants Business Y’s product; Business X can create a task with Business Y’s product links in it so that any time anyone opens up that task they will be able to view the product he wants from Business Y. Also, maybe if someone is looking at a job opening at another company, they can see the link in the description of the job posting; this may also help increase productivity if employees can take care of anything they need from one place.

    In conclusion, I feel that integrating Google Tasks and LinkedIn together would help decrease frustration with keeping track of all of my tasks while making it much easier for me to communicate with others about tasks they need help with or appointments I need them to make.
