IMAP by Connect is an email client that allows you to manage incoming and outgoing email messages from any web browser. It is a web application that allows you to access your email messages from any computer with internet access. (Connect Email Services, n.d.)
A1. Create a New Task
Click the 'New' button in the upper right hand corner of your Google Tasks page. You will then be presented with a blank task form. Type in the title of the task in the text box labeled 'Title'. Enter any notes you would like in the text box labeled 'Notes'. Select the 'Due Date' by clicking on the date drop down menu, or by typing in a specific date in the text box labeled 'Date'. Set the time for completion of this task in the text box labeled 'Due Time'. Click on the checkbox labeled 'Reminder' if you would like to receive an email reminder about this task before its due date. You can choose when you would like to receive this reminder by selecting the time from the dropdown menu labeled 'Time Before', or by entering in a specific time in the text box labeled 'Time Before'. Click on the checkbox labeled 'Private' in order to prevent anyone else from seeing this task. Click on the checkbox labeled 'Share' if you want others to be able to see this task. Once you have completed these steps, click on the checkbox labeled 'Save'. Your new task should now appear in your Google Tasks list. (Google, 2011)
A2. Assign a Task to Someone Else
Select the checkbox next to the task you would like to assign to someone else. This will make the task appear highlighted in your Google Tasks list. From the drop down menu labeled 'Select', choose an appropriate category. You can choose between one of the fplowing categories. No Category, More Categories, My Categories, Your Categories, or Shared Categories. Select an appropriate category by selecting it from the dropdown menu. Enter the email address of the person you would like to assign this task to into the text box labeled 'To', and click on the checkbox labeled 'Send'. (Google, 2011)
A3. Mark a Task Completed
Click on the checkbox next to the task you would like to mark as completed. From the drop down menu labeled 'Select', choose an appropriate category. You can choose between one of the fplowing categories. No Category, More Categories, My Categories, Your Categories, or Shared Categories. Select an appropriate category by selecting it from the dropdown menu. On the top right hand side of your Google Tasks page you will see a link labeled 'Mark Complete'. Click on this link. This will mark this task as completed and remove it from your Google Tasks list.(Google, 2011)
A4. Delete a Task from Your List
Click on the checkbox next to the task you would like to delete from your Google Tasks list. From the drop down menu labeled 'Select', choose an appropriate category. You can choose between one of the fplowing categories. No Category, More Categories, My Categories, Your Categories, or Shared Categories. Select an appropriate category by selecting it from the dropdown menu. On the top right hand side of your Google Tasks page you will see a link labeled 'Delete'. Click on this link.
