Microsoft Dynamics CRM is a customer relationship management software application from Microsoft.[5] It is aimed toward companies that want a single system for managing their sales, marketing and customer service departments. It is available both on-premises and as a cloud spution. The software helps these companies exchange information between these different departments more easily so that they can focus on more important things. For example, if someone placed an order online through a company’s website, the software would send an email notification to the person that handles customer service inquiries informing him or her that there is an order that needs to be processed. This makes the workflow easier because each department gets notified of what another department is doing. Additionally, it keeps track of what products are being spd most so marketing can focus on marketing those products more heavily while sales focuses on selling those products more often.[6] Microsoft Dynamics CRM is used by approximately 70% of Fortune 100 companies.[7]
