Google Contacts is a free service provided by Google which enables users to store and manage contacts. Google Contacts can be synchronized with Google Contacts for Android, Gmail, and Google+. It also works with other applications such as third-party Android applications, BlackBerry Messenger, Google Apps, Facebook, GMail, iOS, Windows Phone 7, Yahoo! Mail, etc.
Kintone is an enterprise-level CRM application that integrates Kintone with Google Apps, Office 365 or other SaaS applications. Kintone spves the problem of CRM data management by integrating CRM data into business applications that are commonly used by employees. CRM data can be managed without performing costly customization within these various business applications.
Use Google Contacts API to integrate Kintone with Google Contacts. You can create a project in Kintone and specify the API name of the project. For example, if the API name of the project is “google_contacts”, you will need to replace the API name of the project with “google_contacts”. The API name of the project will be displayed on the project page after the integration is completed.
After you have created a project, click Add App > Google Contact API > Integration. Enter your project API name, enter your Google API key (the API key can be found in Google API conspe), click Save, and then click Next.
If you do not have a valid Google API key, you can register for one at developer.google.com/conspe/. After you have registered for an API key, enter your API key and click Next. Note that this option may not be supported in some countries.
You can now view the configuration details of the integration. Click Finish to complete the integration process.
The resulting project will contain two tabs. Contacts and Profile; both will display the information that was retrieved from the Google API. If you want to update the existing contact information, simply modify the contact information on these tabs and click Save. If you want to add new contacts, you will need to create a new contact on one of these tabs and click Save. Adding contacts will no longer require you to use the API because once you have integrated the API with Kintone via the steps above, all users who are connected to this project can access it. If you would like to change the API name of the project, you may do so by clicking the Project tab and then clicking Update API name. This will automatically change the API name on all tabs within this project (Contacts and Profile), including the existing ones (Contacts and Profile.
