How Google CloudPrint & Drip Integrations Work

Integration of Google CloudPrint and Drip

  • Google CloudPrint is a service that allows you to print your documents and photos to any printer connected to the Internet. It is simple to install, and it is just as easy to use. All you have to do is print using the Google Chrome web browser.

  • Drip?
  • Drip is an online service that allows you to schedule emails to be sent at a future date. You can also set an email to be sent periodically, such as every month, week, or day.

  • Integration of Google CloudPrint and Drip
    • The first step is to integrate Google CloudPrint with Drip by installing the GCP plugin for Drip on your Drip account. You can install this plugin by clicking the ADD A PLUGIN link within the Account Settings page, and selecting the Google Cloud Print option from the list of available plugins. After installing the GCP plugin, you will be asked to confirm your Google CloudPrint setup information. When you have completed this step, go ahead and log out of your Drip account.
    • The next step is to set up your printers with Google Cloud Print. This can be done by clicking the SET UP PRINTING button on any printer’s page. In order to use a printer with Google Cloud Print, the printer must support IPP printing. If your printer does not support IPP printing, you will need to purchase a new printer that supports this feature. If your printer does support IPP printing, you will need to create a public URL for the printer using Google’s Add Printer Wizard.
    • Next, you will need to set up your Drip profile with Google Cloud Print by logging into your Drip account and navigating to the MANAGE PROFILE page. On this page, click the EDIT button in the Accounts section under YOUR ACCOUNTS. After clicking the EDIT button, you will see a list of all of your accounts, including your Drip account. Under EMAIL DELIVERY OPTIONS, select the ENABLE GOOGLE CLOUD PRINT checkbox. You can then click SAVE CHANGES at the bottom of the page. After saving these changes, you should click DONE at the bottom of your screen. Your Google Cloud Print setup should now be complete!
    • Now that your Google Cloud Print setup is complete, log into your Google Chrome web browser and print any documents or photos that you wish to print. After printing has completed successfully, you should receive an email informing you that the document or photo has been printed via Google Cloud Print. You can check on this status by viewing the STATUS field of the document or photo within your Drip account. You can view the STATUS field by clicking on the document or photo within your account and selecting VIEW DOCUMENT/FOLDER STATUS from the drop-down menu at the top of your screen.
