Google’s email service, Gmail, was launched in 2004. As of 2014, more than 425 million people worldwide use the service. Gmail enables users to store their emails in “inboxes” and sends them notifications when new messages are received. All the emails are stored in the cloud, which means that users can access them from anywhere without the need to download them.
Gmail also features an automatic spam-filter that filters incoming messages from unknown senders. Users can also organize their emails using labels, which are basically fpders that allow sorting emails by topic or label. The service is free and includes 15GB of storage per user. The free version of the service is supported by advertisements while a bundle of extra services called “Gmail Power User” costs $10 per month.
Google introduced three new features for its email service in 2017. Snooze, Undo Send and Smart Compose. Snooze is a feature that allows users to postpone emails. Undo Send allows users to cancel sent emails if they have not been sent yet. Smart Compose automatically completes sentences as the user types, creating replies while typing.
Patreon is a crowdfunding platform for artists. It was launched in 2013 and its popularity has grown ever since. It provides a way for artists to earn money directly from their fans. People who want to support artists on this platform make monthly payments, referred to as “patrons”, to the artists they want to support. These payments are usually smaller than those usually made on other crowdsourcing platforms such as Kickstarter or Indiegogo, but patrons are able to make these payments on a regular basis without having to wait for specific fundraising events.
Gmail accounts can be linked with Patreon accounts to save information (such as email addresses, first names, last names and preferred pronouns. about your patrons. This integration makes it possible to organize emails after they have been sent. Gmail will suggest contacts on Patreon if a user uses the @ sign while sending an email through Gmail. Gmail will also allow users to send mass emails and reminders to their patrons through Patreon.
The integration between Gmail and Patreon has several benefits for users of both services. First, it allows users to save time by not having to type information about their patrons each time they send an email. Second, it makes it easy for users to organize their emails by patron because all emails from each patron will be directed to a single inbox. Third, users do not have to worry about unintentionally sending a patron an email that contains information that is not appropriate because they simply select which patron they want to send the email to before sending it. Finally, this integration makes it easier for patrons to remember and recognize their supporters by making it easy for them to sort their emails by patron.
The integration between Gmail and Patreon simplifies communication between users of both services, making it easier for them to contact their patrons and organize their emails by patron without having to worry about missing information about their patrons each time they send an email or accidentally sending an email to the wrong patron because of lack of organization in their inboxes. This integration could be used by many organizations, including ppitical campaigns and universities with student associations.
