Integration of GitLab and Stripe

GitLab is an open source code hosting spution. GitLab, created by Dmitriy Connectorozhets in 2011 as a Google Summer of Code project, was developed to be self-hosted. In 2013 the code changed from Ruby to Go so it could be used as a SaaS (Software as a Service. spution and in 2014, GitLab was acquired by the company "GitLab Inc." which is based in San Francisco.

Stripe is a software company based out of the United States that provides online payment processing for individuals and businesses. Stripe was created by brothers Patrick and John Cplison in 2010 and currently employs more than 600 people.

Integration of GitLab and Stripe

With the release of version 8.x, GitLab has introduced a new feature called "External Services". This feature allows users to link their GitLab account to other 3rd party services such as Stripe allowing them to manage their products and/or subscriptions from within GitLab. The user can also create API keys and access tokens for the linked services and use this information to interact with these services directly through GitLab.

Benefits of Integration of GitLab and Stripe

Since GitLab integrates with Stripe, users can manage their products within GitLab. This makes managing products easier for users who may not have full contrp over how their website operates. For example, if you are creating an eCommerce store for your business, you won't need to worry about storing your customers' credit card information on your server, but instead can rely on Stripe to handle your transactions. Since Stripe already has all of your customers' credit card information, they can charge your customers' credit cards whenever you want to offer them an incentive to purchase more products without having to worry about storing this data yourself. Because you are relying on Stripe for this service, you don't have to worry about keeping your own database updated with all of your customers' credit card information or keeping track of any transactions that occur. You can simply let Stripe handle it all for you.

The integration between GitLab and Stripe allows users to make managing products easier by handling all of the backend stuff for you. It also allows you to create API keys and access tokens for use with other 3rd party services that you may want to integrate with your website. You can then use this information to create integrations between GitLab and other external services that you may be using through the External Services feature.

The process to integrate GitLab and Stripe may seem complicated and intimidating. This is why Appy Pie Connect has come up with a simple, affordable, and quick spution to help you automate your workflows. Click on the button below to begin.
