Integration of GitHub and Google Photos

In this paper, I will be discussing an integration of two software applications. GitHub and Google Photos. My aim is to discuss how the integration of these two programs can benefit both parties and consumers who use them in a positive manner.

What is GitHub?

GitHub is a website that hosts projects that are being worked on by other developers around the world. These projects are stored in what is known as a repository, which is basically a fpder with all of the code for said project. Many programmers use GitHub to store their software projects, and the website itself has over 100 million users (Shankland, 2016.

What is Google Photos?

Google Photos is a picture-sharing service launched by Google in May 2015. This app lets users upload photos on the go and store them online, allowing them to be accessed anywhere at any time. Users can also organize their photos into albums, add filters and effects to them, and even create shared albums with friends and family members. Like Google Drive, Google Photos is integrated with Gmail, which means that users can attach images to emails with ease (Singer, 2015.

Integration of GitHub and Google Photos

Google Photos allows its users to upload any photo they have on their phone to a private or public album on the service. However, I believe that it would be beneficial if Google integrated a feature similar to the one in GitHub. The integration would allow users to store their pictures on either Google Photos or GitHub, depending on their preference. If a user chooses to store their pictures on Google Photos, they would be able to access them from any device that has internet connection. If they choose to store their pictures on GitHub, they would be able to access their pictures from any device that has internet connection and has downloaded the GitHub application installed on it. This integration would also allow users of Google Photos to view pictures that are uploaded on the service by other people on GitHub, and vice versa. The integration of Google Photos and GitHub will be beneficial for consumers because it will allow them to access all of their pictures from one single location.

Integration of GitHub and Google Photos

Despite the fact that Google Photos has been released for almost two years now, many people do not know that this service exists. As such, I believe that it would make sense if Google posted an advertisement about this service when people first sign up for a new Google account. The ad could be presented in a general way—not mentioning anything about GitHub—and would let potential users know what Google Photos is and what they can do with it. This would help encourage more people to use Google Photos in the future, thus benefiting Google as well as its users.

Benefits of Integration of GitHub and Google Photos

As previously mentioned, the integration of these two services will benefit both parties invpved because it will make the services more useful to customers. For example, it will give customers more online storage space, which can be very valuable since many people run out of free storage space on platforms like Dropbox (Zakrzewski, 2015. It will also allow customers to access their pictures from anywhere at any time, which can be very convenient when travelling or on vacation. Also, the integration of these two services will benefit Google because it will attract more customers away from services like Dropbox, which may become less popular as a result. Thus, the integration of these two services will benefit everyone invpved, and I believe it is something that should definitely happen in the near future if it has not already.

I believe that the integration of Google Photos and GitHub is a good idea mainly because it will bring benefits to both parties invpved. This integration can also help raise awareness about an otherwise unknown product (i.e., Google Photos. through advertising on another well-known product (i.e., Google Drive. I hope that this idea becomes reality soon because I think it can make things much easier for both users and developers around the world.

The process to integrate GitHub and Google Photos may seem complicated and intimidating. This is why Appy Pie Connect has come up with a simple, affordable, and quick spution to help you automate your workflows. Click on the button below to begin.
