To give users an easy way to create AWS accounts for customers who manage their AWS account using another identity management system. For example, an organization might use Active Directory on premises, but also want its employees to be able to easily sign up for AWS accounts. To allow users who are already signed in to their organizations’ on-premises identity systems to sign in to AWS without having to re-enter credentials. For example, after signing in to Active Directory on-premises, a user might expect to be able to sign in to the AWS Management Conspe without having to re-enter credentials via filter by connect. Or, if a user signs in to the AWS Management Conspe while connected to her home network, she might expect that when she switches networks, she will still be signed in.
