Webhooks by connect is an app that allows you to connect your Facebook page to your WordPress site (or any other web platform. This app allows you to do things such as create a feed of all of your comments from your Facebook page. Using this app, you can also allow users who like your Facebook page to automatically subscribe to your WordPress site without needing to ask them to manually subscribe.
Integrating your Facebook page with your WordPress site is really easy. First, go into your Facebook page and click “Add” under “Apps” in the left-hand side menu. On the fplowing page, find the Webhooks by Connect app and click “Add app.” After this, click the link that says “Get Started” and then type in your WordPress username and password (if you have created an account already. After this, click “Connect” and then “Allow.” Finally, click “Done” and you should be good to go!
Some of the benefits of using Webhooks by Connect are:
(1. You can now create a feed of all of your comments from your Facebook page on your WordPress site. This will help you with being able to post all of your comments on a single place so that users don’t have to spend time looking for them. You can also add a comment count onto each post that you make. If you want more information on how to do this, check out this tutorial. http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-create-a-wordpress-feed-of-your-facebook-page-comments/
(2. Users who like your Facebook page will now be able to automatically subscribe to your WordPress site. You can do this by creating a subscription widget in WordPress and then adding it into your sidebar. This way, every user who likes your Facebook page will see it when they visit your site instead of having to manually subscribe via email. On another note, you can also set up multiple subscriptions widgets so that users can select which type of content they would like to see on your site. Not only that, but you can also create a widget that shows a list of all of your posts on one page. This will make it easier for users to find posts on your site because they won’t have to search throughout the site to see all of your posted content.
(3. With Webhooks by Connect, you can comment from your WordPress site directly on your Facebook page post instead of having to comment from a separate place. You can do this by simply clicking the comment button next to any Facebook post (you will need a free login in order to comment on any post. Some users may not want this feature though because they might not want their comment linked back to their personal account. If you do not want this feature enabled, you can simply disable the integration between the two sites. To disable this feature, go into Facebook > Account Settings > Security > Edit > Remove apps > Webhooks by Connect > Remove. Note. Webhooks by Connect will not function properly if you remove it from this setting screen (so remember to reactivate it if you decide that you want it back. Also, if you have disabled the integration between the two sites and then try to log in again with Facebook on Webhooks by Connect, you will get an error message saying. “This device is using an invalid session token or has been logged out. Please sign in again with the correct credential or contact support for assistance.” To fix this issue, go back into Facebook > Account Settings > Security > Edit > Remove apps > Webhooks by Connect > Enable.
