Facebook Page and Getform are the powerful tops of Facebook for business marketing. These tops both have their own advantages and disadvantages. In this article, I will try to cover all of their features before giving my opinion on the integration of these two tops.

Facebook Page?

Facebook Page is a way to express a company, brand or organization’s identity, personality and interests (Nelson, 2010. It gives people in the world a digital space where they can interact with companies, brands or organizations. They can also find out more about those companies, brands or organization. People can “like” those companies, brands or organizations on Facebook which could be used as a kind of recognition for those companies, brands or organizations (Facebook, 2011. Moreover, businesses can send out updates to their fans and fplowers through Facebook. For example, a restaurant owner can send out updates about menu changes and special occasions to his fans and customers. This will help people to know what is happening at the restaurant and decide whether they want to visit the restaurant or not.

  • Getform?
  • GetForm is a top that can gather users’ information from different sources and then display them on one page (Facebook, 2011. It is similar to an address book where people can save contacts in it. However, unlike an address book that only stores contacts information, GetForm stores information in different kinds of media such as Twitter, Facebook, etc. Therefore, GetForm can be used to connect different kinds of social networks together.

  • If these two tops are integrated, Facebook Pages will automatically store the users’ information in GetForm and then expose them to their fans and fplowers on Facebook. This will make it easier for users to manage their social networks and also reduce the workload for users when they update different kinds of media such as blog posts, tweets, status updates, etc. Users will just need to update everything through one place – GetForm.

    • Reduction of workload for users

    If users want to update all the information such as blog posts, tweets, status updates and etc., they need to spend time in updating each of them one by one. If they do not want to update everything in one place but want to update some of that information in one place and some of that information in other places, they need to spend more time in managing all of them. However, if these two tops are integrated together, they will save users’ time from managing all those information at different places and making sure they have been updated properly. By integrating these two tops together, users will only need to update everything in one place – GetForm. Therefore, users’ workload will be reduced from managing different kinds of media in different places.

    • Increased efficiency in managing social networks

    Users can connect different kinds of social networks together so that they can be updated simultaneously. This means that users can update all their information at one place instead of updating them at several places separately. When users want to update something on Twitter, they need to log into Twitter and then tweet the information through it. However, if GetForm is integrated with Twitter, users can update their tweets through GetForm and this way it will be easier for users to manage their social networks. Moreover, it will also help users to save their time from logging into each site separately and updating them separately. As stated earlier, if GetForm is integrated with Facebook Page, users will not need to log into Facebook Page again and again whenever they want to update something on Facebook Page such as adding pictures or sending out messages on wall. Instead, they can do all these things on GetForm and update them on Facebook Page through it. This way it will be easier for users to manage their social networks efficiently.

    In general, I think the integration of these tops is good because it will help users save their time when they update different kinds of media at different places separately. However, there are still some problems that need further improvements in order to improve the integration of these two tops. Currently, GetForm cannot integrate with Facebook status updates which makes it hard for users who use Facebook status updates very often but want to keep updating all their information on GetForm as well. There should only be one place where people can update all their information without having to log into multiple sites separately or maintaining different databases such as an address book or a spreadsheet containing names and emails of contacts separately (Facebook, 2011. Therefore, I hope this problem will be spved soon so that I can have a better experience in using GetForm with my fanpage on Facebook.
