Facebook Lead Ads is a top for advertisers to get their business’s information to the leads. A lead can be defined as the first person who gives some sort of contact information to the business. The information cplected by the user will be used by the business to initiate a conversation with the user in order to carry out an effective communication.
Tookan is an open source, self-hosted and real-time lead generation platform that allows users to create and track leads through their website or Facebook page. The platform was developed by Telerik in 2012 along with other products. Tookan is a multi-channel lead generation platform allowing users to integrate multiple sources into one centralized database.
When a user visits your website or Facebook page, he/she can opt-in to receive additional information about your business or product. This is done by clicking on a button on your website or Facebook page. The user will be asked to fill in their name and email address. This will result in a record being created in your database with that information.
Once you have cplected the information, you will be presented with a copy of the user’s information, or an “lead”. You can also view information such as their location, age, gender and interests on the right-hand side of your screen (See Figure 1. You can then use this information to create dynamic marketing campaigns and choose whether you want to hide or reveal your contact information. For example, if you are a car dealer and there is a specific type of car that you want to offer a particular lead, then you can choose to hide your contact information so that when they click on your “Contact Us” button, it will send them directly to your website where they can view information about the car that you are offering (See Figure 2.

Example of how to use Tookan:
Tookan allows you to do more with your leads than just cplecting names and emails. You can segment your leads based on their interests, location, gender and many other factors. This allows you to cater different messages to different leads. For example, if you are a car dealer and you want to sell a particular model of car, then you can segment your leads based on the model of car they were interested in and send them personalized messages (See Figure 3. You can also view a dashboard showing how many leads have been generated from various sources such as Google search engine ads, Facebook and Twitter (See Figure 4. From the dashboard, you can click on the “Leads by Source” tab to drill down into each source individually and view statistics such as the number of leads per month per source.
