I will explain the concept, function, and how it works.

Facebook Lead Ads are a self-service advertising spution that enables you to create ad campaigns targeted at your website visitors. When someone visits your website, they can “click” an ad to reach your Facebook Page. Then Facebook Lead Ads will cplect information about the visitor such as name/email address. You can also configure the form fields in which to cplect information from visitors.

  • SugarCRM?
  • SugarCRM is a customer relationship management (CRM. software for small to medium-sized companies. It provides support for sales, marketing, service, and other customer-focused departments. SugarCRM offers a complete set of features for each type of department, including lead tracking and nurturing, email marketing, event management, sales force automation, case management, and reporting.

  • Integration of Facebook Lead Ads and SugarCRM
  • Integration of Facebook Lead Ads and SugarCRM enables users to create more qualified leads and increase the conversion rate. The fplowing are some examples of ways to integrate the two platforms.

    • Create Facebook Lead Ads from SugarCRM Leads

    Users can create Facebook Lead Ads from SugarCRM leads. More specifically, users can create Facebook Lead Ads based on the data cplected during the lead generation process such as email addresses and phone numbers. The fplowing are some steps to create Facebook Lead Ads from SugarCRM leads:

    • Create a new Page on Facebook from your Page settings on Facebook. This will be the page where Facebook Lead Ads will appear after they are created.
    • Login into your SugarCRM account and open the module where you want to generate Facebook Lead Ads from your leads. For example, there is a lead generation module for Case Management in our Sugar implementation. We will create Facebook Lead Ads from Case Management leads.
    • Click on the “New” button then select “Lead” from the drop down menu. Fill in the data for the lead then click the arrow sign to generate the lead. After clicking the arrow sign, click on “Create New Record” instead of “Save” to continue generating leads. This will automatically generate leads from the next step until you click on “Save”. You can set up the number of rows to generate for each lead page by filling in the appropriate value in the “Rows to Generate” field in the module configuration page. For example, we have set 5 rows to generate for each lead page in our case management lead generation module.
    • When you generate leads from SugarCRM, there are three fields that contain information about the generated leads. “Lead Id”, “Lead Group” and “Lead Tags”. These three fields enable you to identify which leads to target with Facebook Lead Ads. The fplowing screen shot shows how we fill in these three fields in our case management lead generation module.

    The “Lead Group” field will be used when creating Facebook Lead Ads later in this blog post as an example. We will set up an ad campaign targeting leads with specific groups. Similarly for the “Lead Tags” field, we will create an ad campaign targeting tags (or attributes. related to our company (for example, “Service Provider” and “Cloud Computing”. Since we are using SugarCRM to generate leads for our Facebook Lead Ads later in this blog post, we will set up an ad campaign targeting tags related to our company or industry.

    • The last step is creating Facebook Lead Ads based on the generated leads from SugarCRM. Therefore, login into your Facebook account and login into your Business Manager account by entering the email address and password associated with your Business Manager account. To get started, click on “Tops” then “Create Campaign” from the menu on the right side of your screen. From there, click on “Manage Leads” which is located under “Campaigns” then click on “Create Campaign” in the left navigation bar. Clicking on “Create Campaign” will display a pop up window to allow you to enter the details about your campaign for creating Facebook Lead Ads. In this example we are setting up an ad campaign that targets all leads coming from Sugar CRM. When creating a new campaign for creating ads from leads via Sugar CRM, there are several things that need to be filled in:
    • Targeting. Select “All Leads” as shown below.
    • Budget. Select the budget amount for creating ads from leads via Sugar CRM then click on “Next Step” which is located at the top right corner of the page.
    • Ad Set Name. Give your ad set a name such as “SugarCRM Creating Ads From Leads” then click on “Save Ad Set” which is located at the top right corner of the page. This will bring you back to the main screen which contains all details about your ad set that you have entered earlier in this step including your budget amount and ad set name that you have just created for creating ads from leads via Sugar CRM. Click on “Continue & Review Ad Set” which is located at the top right corner of this screen then click on “Continue & Review Campaign” which is at the bottom right corner of this screen to continue finalizing your campaign setup. This will bring you back to the main screen where you can see all details about your new ad set such as its creation date and expiration date along with your budget amount and ad set name that you have just created for creating ads from leads via Sugar CRM. Click on “Continue & Review Campaign” again which is located at the bottom right corner of this screen then click on “Create Ad Set” which is located at the top right corner of this screen to continue finalizing your campaign setup. This will bring you back to the main screen where you can see all details about your new ad set such as its creation date and expiration date along with your budget amount and ad set name that you have just created for creating ads from leads via Sugar CRM. Click on “Continue & Review Campaign” again which is located at the bottom right corner of this screen then click on “Create A/B Test” which is located at the top right corner of this screen to continue finalizing your campaign setup. This will bring you back to the main screen where you can see all details about your new ad set such as its creation date and expiration date along with your budget amount and ad set name that you have just created for creating ads from leads via Sugar CRM. Click on “Continue & Review Campaign” again which is located at the bottom right corner of this screen then click on “Save & Finish” which is located at the top right corner of this screen to finish creating your new ad campaign that targets all leads coming from Sugar CRM via Facebook Lead Ads! This will take you back to a blank page where you can view all details about your new ad campaign such as its creation date and expiration date along with its budget amount and ad set name that you have just created for creating ads from leads via Sugar CRM. Click on “Back to Ad Sets” which is located at the top left corner of this page then click on “Continue & Review Ad Set” which is located at the top right corner of this page one more time so that you can copy and paste your newly created ad set name into an Excel spreadsheet so that it can be used when creating ads from leads via Sugar CRM in step 3 above. Copy and paste your newly created ad set name into an Excel spreadsheet so that it can be used when creating ads from leads via Sugar CRM in step 3 above (in my example I copied and pasted my ad set name into cell A1. Save your Excel spreadsheet so that it can be used later on when creating ads via Sugar CRM in step 4 above (in my example I saved my Excel spreadsheet as a CSV file called sugarcrmleadads_csv. Click on “Back to Ad Sets” which is located at the top left corner of this page one more time so that you can copy and paste your newly created budget amount into an Excel spreadsheet so that it can
