EngageBay is a platform that enables real-time social monitoring, including sentiment analysis and other social listening capabilities. EngageBay’s customers use the platform to monitor the goings on of their customers and fplowers on social media at scale. The platform provides a dashboard interface where users can view social media conversation topics, relevant tweets, and relevant hashtags, as well as a real-time newsfeed to track keywords and hashtags. EngageBay’s customers can also integrate their social media accounts with EngageBay to have them automatically “listened” for important conversations.

Datadog

Datadog is a cloud-based data analytics platform that allows its customers to monitor their infrastructure. Datadog’s customers can set up their infrastructure across multiple cloud environments, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and more. Datadog provides a dashboard interface where users can view metrics from various resources, including servers and applications, as well as a real-time newsfeed to track key resources and their current state. Datadog also provides a customer-friendly web portal where users can see their overall metrics as well as drill down into specific resources to understand how certain resources are behaving.

Integration of EngageBay and Datadog

EngageBay’s customers can create projects that define which resources they want to monitor. EngageBay then monitors those resources for important conversations that may be relevant to the customer’s business. EngageBay also allows its customers to configure alerts on certain keywords or topics so that they can be notified when something happens that may be relevant to their business. This allows EngageBay’s customers to become more responsive to important conversations about their brand or product.

Datadog’s customers can also create projects that define which resources they want to monitor, but they can also set up alerts on any of those resources. For example, Datadog’s customers could set up an alert that emails them whenever the CPU on one of their servers is overutilized. Additionally, Datadog provides automated dashboards that automatically update with key metrics about the monitored resources. Datadog’s customers do not need to go in and manually check if their servers are running healthily; they can simply view the automatic updates on Datadog’s dashboard interface. Lastly, Datadog provides “monitoring for everything” functionality, meaning its customers can set up monitoring without needing any code changes. This means Datadog’s customers can monitor things like CPU usage of an application hosted on AWS; this would be difficult with other monitoring platforms because they would require access to write code for the application.
