Microsoft Dynamics CRM is a customer relationship management system that provides marketing, sales and service functionality. Microsoft Dynamics CRM integrates with multiple applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and the Internet.
SendFox is a web-based application that enables e-mail sending through Microsoft Outlook. It provides functions such as bulk emailing, scheduled emailing, single emailing and autoresponders.
Using SendFox through Microsoft Outlook might require configuration steps to be taken if Microsoft Dynamics CRM is already being used. This is because both applications use the same SMTP server. For example, if the SMTP server is set up in Microsoft Dynamics CRM to use the IP address 10.10.10.1, SendFox must also use this IP address for its SMTP server. However, using the same SMTP server for SendFox and Microsoft Dynamics CRM does not permit the two applications to be used concurrently because both applications use a single authentication mechanism. Therefore, Microsoft Dynamics CRM must be configured to use a different SMTP server from that used by SendFox. In addition, SendFox must be configured to use a different SMTP server from that used by Microsoft Dynamics CRM so that they will not conflict with each other.
Integrating Microsoft Dynamics CRM and SendFox allows various business processes to be completed faster. For instance, when a new sales lead is generated in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, they can be automatically sent an email with a link to browse the website of the business entity which is responsible for handling the sales lead. The sales person can then respond to the client directly by responding to the email. Therefore, there is no need for the customer to go through a long telephone conversation or wait for the sales person to visit them after the initial contact has been made. Instead, all necessary information about the client can be exchanged in a much more efficient way utilising both systems.
