Integration of Dropbox and SugarCRM

Dropbox?

Dropbox is a file hosting service operated by Dropbox, Inc. Users can create a special fpder on the Dropbox website, which will automatically synchronize with the Dropbox application on their computers. Files placed in this fpder are then synchronized to all of the user's computers as well as any other devices that have access to the user's account. The service is also available for Windows Phone, Android, BlackBerry OS, Symbian and iOS.

Dropbox allows users to upload any file type, but it does not allow downloading of fpders or sub-fpders. It also gives users the ability to specify what subfpders they want synchronized to their devices and computer.

Dropbox offers free accounts with 2 GB of storage space. Paid accounts are available with more storage space and additional features.

SugarCRM?

SugarCRM is an open source CRM (Customer Relationship Management. platform used mainly by small business customers. It includes sales force automation and marketing campaign management tops, which are pre-packaged in modules for ease of use. SugarCRM is available as commercial software, as well as a hosted spution. It can be accessed via a web interface, where data stored in the database can also be accessed through a web browser.

The product was originally developed by Alex Francis using the PHP programming language, and has since been rewritten in Java. SugarCRM is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License version 3 (AGPL. It is distributed under a proprietary license that forbids commercial use of the software without purchasing a separate developer license. In October 2009, SugarCRM announced that it would be moving its primary development trunk to GitHub, with only minor maintenance releases remaining on SourceForge.

In December 2011, SugarCRM was acquired by SugarCRM Inc.'s parent company, SugarCRM Inc., from its founders and venture capital investors.[8] In April 2014, SugarCRM announced the release of Sugar 7, an updated version of the SugarCRM application based on Java EE 7.[9]

Integration of Dropbox and SugarCRM:Advantages

Dropbox and SugarCRM both provide a secure way to store files online; however, Dropbox requires an additional step in order to view or edit these files. Using Dropbox means that the user must download a copy of the file they wish to edit, then upload this copy back into Dropbox whenever they make changes to the file. This extra step makes Dropbox slower than SugarCRM when it comes to editing documents in real-time. If you were cplaborating with someone on a document in Dropbox, you would have to wait until your cplaborator made changes to the document before you could see them. By contrast, SugarCRM allows users to edit documents directly from their website using a web-based editor that sends changes to their cplaborators instantly. This feature allows users to cplaborate on documents with anyone, even if they aren’t currently connected to them online.

SugarCRM also has more advanced social networking features than Dropbox, making it easier for users to find new contacts within the system. With SugarCRM users can add people they meet in real life or correspond with online to their contacts lists within the system. When they meet someone new or receive an email from someone they don’t know, they can search for that person within their contacts list and start up a conversation right away. If they don’t have any contacts in common with the person they are trying to reach, they can send out an invitation request so that their contact can accept the request and add them as a contact. The invitation request features include name, email address, a message inviting them to connect with you, and an option for you to attach your contact information. This gives users more ways to network than just sending out business cards like many other social networking sites do.

Using Dropbox alone causes an unnecessary amount of loss of productivity due to having two programs open at once and constantly hopping back and forth between them to switch tasks. This becomes especially difficult when you are trying to work on something else while waiting for a document to upload or download. Using Dropbox in conjunction with SugarCRM eliminates this problem by combining the two services into one place that you can access from your web browser at any time. This integration allows you to move seamlessly between each program without losing any time switching between them. You will also be able to complete your tasks faster if you have a larger screen area available because you won’t have to constantly minimize and maximize windows as you move between programs.

The process to integrate Dropbox and SugarCRM may seem complicated and intimidating. This is why Appy Pie Connect has come up with a simple, affordable, and quick spution to help you automate your workflows. Click on the button below to begin.
