Do my claims create an argument An argument is a claim based on evidence that proves the truth of another claim. Is there evidence for every claim Not all claims need to be backed up with evidence. However, you should aim to provide evidence for every claim that makes a significant assertion. Are my sentences clear and concise Avoid using vague generalities or unnecessarily complicated language. This will make your article easier to understand and more convincing. Is my outline complete and thorough Put yourself in the reader’s shoes and consider whether you’ve covered all the points you set out to make. Are there any sections that feel repetitive If you find yourself repeating yourself or covering something too extensively, take those sections out and combine them with other sections. Is there any unnecessary information Go through your outline and cut anything that does not directly support your thesis. Are all facts relevant and sourced Be sure that all facts come from reliable sources such as academic journals, credible websites, or experts in the field. Are my sources cited correctly It’s important to include citations at the end of your article so others can learn about the sources you used and verify the facts you present.
