  • Integration of ClickUp and Zoho Books
  • Both ClickUp and Zoho Books are cloud sputions that make it easier to run a small business. So why not integrate them together? Well, now you can! ClickUp integrates with Zoho Books so you can automate your invoice creation process. Here’s how it works:

    Create an invoice in Zoho Books Connect ClickUp to Zoho Books Add a task to ClickUp from the new invoice in Zoho Books Get notified when the invoice is paid in Zoho Books Get notified when the invoice is closed in ClickUp

    Now, let’s take a closer look at each step:

    • Create an Invoice in Zoho Books

    To create an invoice in Zoho Books, first click on “Invoices” to open up the Invoices window. Once you have created an invoice, click on the green “Save” button to upload it to Zoho Books. You will then see a confirmation screen that says “Invoice #### has been sent”. (Note. If your business has multiple users, you will need to authorize the invoices.)

    • Connect ClickUp to Zoho Books (Optional)

    If you haven’t already connected ClickUp to Zoho Books, you will be prompted to do so at this point. Just click on the “Connect” button and then enter your Zoho Books API key. When you are finished, click on the “Connect” button again. Once you connect your accounts, you will be taken back to the Invoices window where you can see all of your outstanding invoices. Your invoices are now connected with ClickUp. However, they are still unlinked. To link the invoices with tasks in ClickUp, we first need to add them as Tasks. To add a new task from one of your invoices in Zoho Books, simply click on the green plus sign next to the invoice number. This will open up a new window with the details about your invoice (amount owed, due date, etc.. Then just add any additional information that you want to attach to this task in ClickUp (description, assignee, etc.. Finally, give your task a name and click on the “Save Task” button at the bottom of the window. That’s it! Now your invoice is linked with a task in ClickUp. And since it was linked through Zoho Books, it will automatically sync with your invoice status in Zoho Books. This means that once your customer pays your invoice in Zoho Books (which we will cover later), you will be notified immediately in ClickUp! Now that you know how to link invoices with tasks in ClickUp, you can repeat these steps for every future invoice that you create in Zoho Books! Something important to note about linking invoices with tasks from Zoho Books. As long as the customer has an existing account in both ClickUp and Zoho Books, this process should work fairly smoothly for you. But if they don’t have an account in both places, there are a couple of extra steps that you will need to take (we will cover those steps below. No matter what, though, if you fplow along with our video above, everything should go smoothly! 3. Add a Task from Your Invoice in Zoho Books In order to add tasks from your invoices in Zoho Books, you need to connect ClickUp to your account first. We covered this above. Now that we have linked our accounts, we can start adding tasks from our invoices in Zoho Books! To add a task from another one of your invoices in Zoho Books (or any other task), just select the task that you want to add from within ClickUp and then click on the green plus sign next to the task number. This will open up a window where you can add any additional information that you want to attach to this task (description, assignee, etc.. However, if you just want to link the tasks back to an invoice in Zoho Books, there is no need for all of this information now. Instead, you can simply click on the “Invoice #” field and type in the billable amount from the original invoice in Zoho Books. Once everything has been added, click on the “Save Task” button at the bottom of the window. Your invoice is now linked with a task in ClickUp! And since it was linked through Zoho Books, it will automatically sync with your invoice status in Zoho Books. This means that once your customer pays your invoice in Zoho Books (which we will cover later), you will be notified immediately in ClickUp! 4. Get Notified When Your Invoice Is Paid As soon as your customer pays (or closes. your invoice in Zoho Books, ClickUp will send you an email notification letting you know they have done so! This way, you can easily keep track of which customers have paid their invoices and which ones haven’t yet! 5. Get Notified When Your Invoice Is Closed As soon as your customer closes their outstanding invoice by clicking on the green “Pay Full Balance” button at the top right of their invoice page in Zoho Books/Appy Pie Connect dashboard or by creating a payment directly from their email invoice (assuming that payment method has been enabled), ClickUp will send you an email notification letting you know they have done so! This way, you can easily keep track of which customers have paid their invoices and which ones haven’t yet! 6. Get Notified When You Create an Invoice In addition to getting notified when someone else creates an invoice against a particular customer, ClickUp will also notify when someone creates an invoice for that customer against you (assuming that user has been assigned as an owner of that customer. This way, if anyone accidentally creates an invoice against one of your customers who hasn’t paid yet (or who doesn’t exist yet), then they can be notified about their mistake before any money changes hands! 7. Get Notified When Someone Pays Your Invoice In addition to getting notified when someone creates an invoice against one of your customers who hasn’t paid yet (or who doesn’t exist yet), ClickUp will also notify when someone pays one of these unpaid invoices against you (assuming that user has been assigned as an owner of that customer. This way, if anyone accidentally pays one of these unpaid invoices against someone who doesn’t exist yet or who hasn’t paid yet (i.e., doesn’t have an account yet), then they can be notified about their mistake before any money changes hands! 8. Get Notified When Someone Creates an Invoice Against You In addition to getting notified when someone pays one of these unpaid invoices against someone who doesn’t exist yet or who hasn’t paid yet (i.e., doesn’t have an account yet), ClickUp will also notify when someone creates an invoice against one of your customers who hasn’t paid yet (or who doesn’t exist yet.
