Integration of ClickMeeting and Woodpecker.co

ClickMeeting?

As a tele-meeting and teleconferencing service provider, ClickMeeting is a service of ClickMeeting.com which was launched in 2007. It enables people to organize online meetings with video and audio chat, live whiteboard, drawing tops and screen sharing. A user can sign up for a free account and then use the service for as long as they want. ClickMeeting is a cloud-based platform that you can use on any computer or mobile device. You can invite up to 15 participants to your meeting and set the length of the meeting. Users are required to download the ClickMeeting client software in order to participate in the meeting. The software runs automatically once it is downloaded. When participants join a meeting, they will be asked to enter their names and email addresses. Once they have logged in, they will be able to see who else is in the meeting and will be able to share their screen, draw on the whiteboard or view a presentation. To start a new meeting, one has to click on the ‘new meeting’ button located at the top of the application window. After creating a new meeting, users are given the option to invite participants. ClickMeeting also offers integration with other services such as Outlook and Salesforce.

Integration of ClickMeeting and Woodpecker.co

It is important to note that ClickMeeting uses WebRTC technpogy while Woodpecker uses HDSLite technpogy, hence it may not be possible to integrate those two services together since they are not compatible with each other. However, Woodpecker seems to have integrated with Office 365, which is also used by ClickMeeting. Woodpecker currently supports IE 11+, Chrome 50+, Firefox 47+, Safari 9+, Chrome Android 4+, iOS 8+, Windows Phone 8+ and Mac OS X 10+. Thus it could support ClickMeeting although it does not seem to support multiple devices (e.g., PC, Mac and mobile. When we tried to login into our account via Firefox on Android, we received an error that stated ‘Woodpecker cannot detect your browser’s language settings’. Since Woodpecker uses HDSLite technpogy, we assume that there is no way one can integrate both ClickMeeting and Woodpecker together since both their technpogies are different from each other. For example, WebRTC (Real Time Communication. technpogy requires browsers that support WebRTC while HDSLite technpogy requires browsers that support HDSLite (such as Google Chrome. Thus it is not possible for us to integrate both services together since we do not have access to both technpogies since they require browsers that support their respective technpogies in order to fully operate them.
