Chargebee is a subscription management platform for recurring billing. It offers an integrated payment gateway which enables users to accept payments from any credit card, debit card or electronic wallets like Paypal, Stripe, etc. It also offers payment gateways for countries like India, China and Brazil. The system is available in 14 languages (English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Italian, Ppish, Russian, Ukrainian and Arabic. It provides a detailed reports with graphs and charts that can be used to analyze the sales trends. It also has a subscription feature that enables users to manage their subscriptions.

Chargebee offers a free ecommerce spution for all its users. It also offers a full featured Enterprise edition that will enable you to manage thousands of subscriptions and sales from anywhere. Chargebee also offers a free edition which will enable you to manage up to 50 invoices at no cost. This version is useful for small businesses that are looking for a simple invoicing platform. They offer premium support to all their users and claim to be always there when you need professional help. They have a 24×7 support team and three ways of support (phone, chat and email.

Chargebee is owned by Zuora who is a leading global provider of Customer Experience Management sputions. It was founded in 2007 and has more than 10,000 customer organizations that use its services. Its headquarters are located in San Francisco and it has offices in India, Germany and Australia.

Vtiger?

Vtiger is an open source software spution that helps customers manage their contacts, leads, activities and interactions with customers. It is based on PHP and MySQL and can be installed on multiple hosting platforms. It can be integrated with products like Drupal, Magento and WordPress. Vtiger is customizable and can be extended to meet the needs of specific businesses. It offers advanced features such as CRM capabilities, document management features, email marketing and reporting capabilities. Vtiger claims to be easy to use, cost effective and scalable. It can be used by small businesses to large enterprises with thousands of employees. It also has a built-in translation feature that supports multiple languages including English, French, Spanish, German, Italian and many others.

It was founded in 2010 by Mark Zmijewski who wanted to provide an affordable customer relationship management spution for small and medium sized businesses. He wanted to democratize the CRM industry by making it affordable for every small business owner without sacrificing the core features of CRM. A cloud based version of Vtiger was introduced in 2014. It also offers a professional plan for agencies and companies that need enterprise level support and features.

Integration of Chargebee and Vtiger will give you access to advanced features of both systems at one place thus saving the effort of switching from one system to another. You can now easily manage your subscriptions through Vtiger as well as accept payments from your customers through Chargebee’s integrated payment gateway. With Chargebee Payment Gateway users can accept payments from any credit cards, debit cards or EMV enabled cards as well as digital wallets such as PayPal or Stripe. You can also create custom charges such as Minimum Order Value or Percentage Of Total Order Value which will be charged from your customers before they make payments using their cards. This feature will help you in reducing frauds as your customers will have to pay only the minimum amount required for their orders thus preventing malware from creating fake accounts and making fraudulent transactions through them.

I will be taking Chargebee’s free plan for this integration as it offers me enough features for my small business. We’ll first register our account on Chargebee:

Once we login we’ll be asked to fill up some basic information about our company:

Once we enter our domain name Chargebee will generate a unique charge page link which we can use to accept payments through it:

If we don’t want to use the charge page link provided by Chargebee we can always create our own custom URL to process payments through Chargebee:

For this tutorial I’ll be using the default charge page link provided by Chargebee itself:

Now that our account has been created on Chargebee let us install Vtiger CRM on our server:
