Integration of Canny and MongoDB

MongoDB is a NoSQL database which is open source and written in C++. It has a flexible schema and stores data as documents rather than rows and cpumns. It is a document-oriented database management system which is available in the cloud. Canny is a program for extracting contents from images.

Canny?

Canny is used to extract contents of an image into text or vector format. It uses a sliding window technique at each pixel to form edges between regions of interest. It can be used to detect edges in an image. The main function of Canny is to improve the quality of images. Canny can be used to extract objects from medical images, such as ultrasound and MRI.

MongoDB?

MongoDB is an open source database that runs on the cloud. It is a database with dynamic schema, which means it does not need any pre-defining of a schema or data structure when writing data. It uses documents rather than tables as storage units which are similar to JSON objects of JavaScript. MongoDB stores data in BSON format which stands for binary JSON. In MongoDB, it is possible to query documents as objects, which means queries do not have to be run through a conventional SQL language like MySQL.
