Integration of Braintree and SMS Alert

Braintree is a payment gateway that allows you to accept payments online. It uses PayPal as one of its payment processors. To integrate Braintree into your website or application, you need to create an account with the platform and then acquire the API key. Braintree comes with two products:
Braintree Payments (PayPal. – This product allows you to take payments from customers using PayPal.
– This product allows you to take payments from customers using PayPal. Braintree Venmo Touch – This product makes it easy to accept payments using their mobile app.
SMS Alert?
SMS Alert is a simple notification service for sending text messages to your customers. It is an affordable and reliable service. It reminds your customers about their pending orders and informs them of new products.
Integration of Braintree and SMS Alert
If you are looking to integrate Braintree and SMS Alert, you need to get both services first. You can do so by fplowing these steps:
Step 1. Create a Braintree account. Register for a free account on Braintree using this link.
Step 2. Get the API Key. Fplow the instructions on the page in order to get the API key for your account.
Step 3. Get a plan for SMS Alert. Choose a plan and then click on the check box next to “I agree to the Terms of Service”. The available plans are listed on this page. Click on the blue button “Sign Up Now” in order to proceed. After signing up, you will receive the SMS phone number which you will use to send messages to your customers via SMS Alert.
Step 4. Integrate Braintree into your application or website. You can do so by fplowing these steps:
Go to the Settings tab in your dashboard in Braintree > Setup > Enable PayPal Mobile Checkout. Select your country, enter a URL, a user agent string, and a logo image. These are optional settings; however, it is best not to skip them. Click on the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the page in order to save your settings and enable PayPal Mobile Checkout for your account in Braintree. Don’t forget to save the settings. ii. Now, go to the Settings tab again, scrpl down until you see “Integration” and click on it. iii. If you have not already done so, click on “Create New Integration”. iv. Choose “PayPal” as your payment processor and then click on “Next” v. In this step, you will have to enter some information about your account in PayPal, including your PayPal email address, PayPal password, and your merchant ID (MID. vi. Now click on “Save Integration” at the bottom of the page in order to save your settings and enable PayPal integration for your account in Braintree. vii. You will be redirected to another page where you can choose PayPal as your payment source. Click on “Enable” if you want to enable PayPal as a payment source in your account in Braintree and then click on “Save Changes” at the bottom of the page.
Now go back to the page where you set up the integration between PayPal and Braintree; you will see that PayPal has been added as a payment option for you in Braintree. ix. Scrpl down until you see “Integrations” and click on it. x. From here, click on “SMS Alert” if it is not already selected and then click on “Connect” at the bottom of the page. xi. On this page, connect your account from SMS Alert with your account in Braintree by entering an API Key obtained from SMS Alert when prompted. xii. Click on “Save Integration” at the bottom of the page in order to save your settings and integrate SMS Alert with your account in Braintree. xiii. Once done, scrpl down until you see “Your API Keys” and click on it xiv. Here you will see all of your API keys in different categories including Facebook, Twitter, Stripe, and Twilio among other providers that Braintree supports. xv. Click on “SMS Alert” if it is not already selected and then copy its API Key. xvi. Paste this API Key in a new .txt document where you will store all of your API keys or simply remember it since we will be adding this file later to our application while integrating SMS Alert with our application or website.
Step 5. Integrate SMS Alert with your application or website. You can do so by fplowing these steps:
Go to the Settings tab in your dashboard in SMS Alert > Manage Apps > Add New Application. ii. Here you will be asked to enter an Application Name which will also act as an identifier for your application; give it a name then press the “Add New App” button at the bottom of the page iii. Here you will see three fields. The first field is for Messaging Center QuickCode which is a short code for sending text messages directly from any messaging center such as Yahoo Messenger or Google Voice etc.; enter this code here (for example. 123456789. , then press the blue button labeled “Generate Code” at the bottom of the page iv. This will generate three codes that can be used by any application to send text messages from any platform; one Code is for normal text messages, another one is for Multimedia Messages (MMS), and another one is for emails; keep these codes in safe place because they are very important when integrating SMS Alert into our application or website v. The second field is for Default From Number; enter here one of the phone numbers provided by SMS Alert (for example. +1212345678 . vi. The third field is for Handler URL; enter here https://www.yourdomainhere/sms/message vii. Press “Save Settings” at the bottom of the page viii. Now go back to “Manage Apps” section > Edit App > Connections tab ix. Here you will see three switches labeled “Exclusive Mode”, “SMS-to-Email”, and “Forward True Caller ID”; turn off those switches x. Scrpl down until you see “Make API Call” section xi. In this section, paste this snippet of code. https://www.yourdomainhere/sms/message?key=API_KEY_FROM_STEP_5_4&to=[Phone Number]&from=[Phone Number]&msg=[Text Message]&textencoding=HEX&url=[URL] xii. Replace [Phone Number] with one of the numbers provided by SMS Alert (for example . +1212345678 . xiii. Replace [Text Message] with the text message that you want to send to your customer (for example . Hey! Don't forget to check out our store!. xiv. Replace [URL] with your website's URL (for example . https://storereviews.com . xv. Replace [API KEY FROM STEP 5_4] with one of the API keys provided by SMS Alert (for example . 111111111111111111 . xvi. Press "Save" at the bottom of the page xvii. Now go back to "Manage Apps" section > Edit App > Subscription tab xviii. Here you will see four options labeled "Auto-Renew", "Unsubscribe", "Retry", and "Status"; leave these options as they are unless there is a specific reason for changing them xix. Press "Save" at the bottom of the page xx. That's it! You have now successfully integrated SMS Alert into your application or website! You can now start sending text messages directly from any messaging center including Yahoo Messenger or Google Voice etc., without having to depend on any third party service like Twilio etc., which charges higher fees for tying up services like sending text messages etc., compared to services provided by SMS Alert like texting from email addresses or websites! xxii.
