Autotask and Braintree have teamed up to provide a new payment gateway for Autotask customers. This gateway will be available in Autumn 2015. It will enable Autotask merchants to accept payments through their existing accounts on Autotask and manage them on their dashboard. The integration will also include automatic reporting and reconciliation of the payments that are processed.
Autotask merchants can now accept credit cards as well as online payments instantly. No more need to sign up with another company to take payments. Payments can also be made by bank transfer, checks or ACH transfer. This provides merchants with greater flexibility in payment options.
Since Autotask purchases are processed through Braintree, the security aspect is now handled by Braintree. This means that the data is safer than when it was stored within Autotask’s database.
Autotask merchants can now have access to better reporting tops than before. With this integration, all of the merchant’s payment details will be stored in one central place; therefore, it will be easier for businesses to keep track of their payment history. The merchants can even use this information for tax purposes.
Merchants do not need to pay additional fees for transaction processing since payments are processed through Braintree; there is no need to sign up with yet another company to process payments. In addition, businesses can enjoy a lower transaction fee since they are charged on a per-transaction basis rather than on a percentage basis as before.
