Integration of Amazon SNS and Mailshake

Amazon SNS

Amazon Simple Notification Service (Amazon SNS. is a web service that enables developers to build distributed systems and applications. It simplifies the delivery of messages from applications to users via email, mobile devices, and other channels. The messages can be used to automate business processes or send notifications.

In order to make use of Amazon SNS, you create a topic. Once a topic is created, you can then create a subscription for that topic. Now whenever a new message is published to the topic, the subscribers will automatically receive it. There are many types of messages that can be sent, including text messages, rich messages, and Kinesis data streams. You can also specify a condition on when messages should be delivered so as to ensure your messages are delivered only when the time is appropriate.

Mailshake

Mailshake helps businesses grow their audience by automating their newsletters. With Mailshake, you don’t have to worry about setting up a newsletter or managing a mailing list. You just need to write your email and Mailshake takes care of the rest.

Mailshake enables you to create a campaign with a single line of code. Once you have created the campaign, Mailshake takes care of delivering it to your audience. You can choose to send your email manually or schedule it for later. You can also choose specific groups of people that you want to receive the email or just anyone who has signed up for your list.

Integration of Amazon SNS and Mailshake

With Amazon SNS and Mailshake, you can easily send mass emails without relying on external MIME process.

First, create an Amazon SNS topic in Amazon Web Services (AWS. The topic name must be prefixed with sns-topic-name. For example, if you want to send an email to all the email addresses in your mailing list, then the topic name must be “snstopic-email-list” or “email-list” or something like that. Note that the topic name cannot contain spaces.

Next, set up your Amazon SNS integration in Mailshake by entering in your Amazon SNS topic name under the Integration section in the Settings tab. After doing this, each time an email is sent through Mailshake, Mailshake will post the contents of the email as a message to the Amazon SNS topic specified in the Integration section. The message will look like this:

{ "content". "Hello, World! This email was sent using Mailshake." } 1 2 3 4 { "content" . "Hello, World! This email was sent using Mailshake." }

Every subscriber who has subscribed to your Amazon SNS topic will receive this message. If several subscribers have subscribed to the same Amazon SNS topic, they will receive the same message at the same time. To ensure each subscriber gets their own unique message, you must use Amazon SQS queues instead of Amazon SNS topics. More details on this are available here.
