GoToMeeting (GTM. is a web conferencing service, launched in 1999, for interaction between individuals or groups of people. GTM can be used to broadcast meetings via the internet, or it can be used to allow two-way communications between remote locations. GTM was developed by Citrix Systems, Inc., now a subsidiary of NetScaler.In this article, we will discuss the integration of Amazon DynamoDB and GoToMeeting through an example. We will show how Amazon DynamoDB can be used to store data from GTM on the fly. A table named "GTM" will be created which will store all the data received from the current session. In order to achieve this, we will create a trigger on the "GTM" table which will execute every time a new row is inserted into the table. The trigger will then call a stored procedure which will save the data from GTM in an external Amazon S3 bucket. Another stored procedure will be created to retrieve the data from Amazon S3 every time it is needed.C. Integration of Amazon DynamoDB and GoToMeeting
Amazon DynamoDB is integrated with GoToMeeting through Amazon S3 Buckets. First, we will create an "GTM" table on Amazon DynamoDB which will store all the information received from the current session. In order to achieve this, we will create a trigger on the "GTM" table which will execute every time a new row is inserted into the table. The trigger will then call a stored procedure which will save the data from GTM in an external Amazon S3 bucket.We have created an AWS S3 Bucket named "gmt_data". This bucket will be used as storage for all information received from GoToMeeting. We have also created a user who can access this bucket as shown in screenshot above. Now let's see how this new user can access this bucket using the command line tool awscli.We have added the following two commands in our script so that every time a new row is inserted into the "GTM" table, the data from that row will be saved in our external Amazon S3 bucket:The first command creates a trigger on our "GTM" table. The second command uses the trigger we have created before to execute our stored procedure which saves the data from GTM in our external bucket.Then we have created another stored procedure which retrieves all this information from our external bucket and inserts it into our "GTM" table:The first command creates our procedure which retrieves all information from our external bucket and inserts them into our "GTM" table. The second command uses our newly created procedure to insert data into our "GTM" table.Now let's see how to access this information using GoToMeeting:We have created a GoToMeeting room named "Integration Demo".
