Integration of Airtable and OneSignal

    What is Airtable?

Airtable is a cloud-based tool that lets users create and share spreadsheets. It allows users to store, organize, collaborate on, and access data from anywhere.

    What is OneSignal?

OneSignal is a push notification service that allows its users to send notifications to their end-users via the web, push notifications, SMS, or custom APIs.

    Integration of Airtable and OneSignal

Airtable can be integrated with OneSignal through API. Through this integration, Airtable can be used to receive OneSignal notifications, thus allowing users to receive notifications through different channels. As an example, a user's table in Airtable can be set up to receive OneSignal notifications. Whenever a new row is added in the table, a notification will be sent out by OneSignal to the user's mobile phone. For example, let's say that a user named John Doe has a table in Airtable named "Office Supplies". John Doe sets up his "Office Supplies" table to receive OneSignal notifications. Whenever someone adds a new row to the "Office Supplies" table, a notification will be sent out by OneSignal (or by Airtable if it is integrated with OneSignal. to the mobile phone of John Doe. The notification will allow John Doe to purchase office supplies quickly. Furthermore, the notification can also be used as an alert system when important activities take place in an organization, such as an emergency.

Benefits of Integration of Airtable and OneSignal

Integration of Airtable and OneSignal offers many benefits to both users and organizations. Firstly, using OneSignal with Airtable gives users more ways to use the data stored in Airtable. For example, if a user has a table in Airtable named "Office Supplies", he/she can set up another table in Airtable named "My Tasks". He/she can then add rows of tasks in the second table and set up the table to receive OneSignal notifications. That way, whenever someone adds new rows of tasks into the "My Tasks" table, a notification will be sent out by OneSignal (or by Airtable if it is integrated with OneSignal. to the mobile phone of the user so that he/she can check his/her tasks immediately. Secondly, integration of Airtable and OneSignal allows organizations to benefit from both tools. For example, if an organization uses Airtable for storing contacts and OneSignal for sending notifications, the organization can add more features to its communications system by integrating the tools. As an example, an organization can create a table in Airtable named "Admin" and another table in Airtable named "Employees". It then adds three columns (i.e. Name , Age , and Gender . into both tables and links them together through a relationship. It also adds two columns into the "Admin" table named Roles and Number of Employees . Finally, it adds three columns into the "Employees" table named Job Title , Phone Number , and Email Address . An employee who has been assigned by the organization as an admin will then enter values (e.g. Sales Manager , 32 , male . into the corresponding columns in the "Admin" table. She then creates a relationship between the three columns by selecting them and choosing the "Relationship" tab in the ribbon menu at the top right corner of the screen. Then she chooses "Child Table Relationship" under "Link Type" and selects the three columns (i.e. "Name", "Age", "Gender". from the "Child Table Columns" section at the bottom. She then clicks "OK" to save her changes and create the relationship. Then she enters values (e.g. 1 , Sales Manager , 32 , male , 888-555-0123 . into the corresponding columns in the "Employees" table. She then creates a relationship between each of the four columns by following the same steps above except this time she chooses "Parent Table Relationship" under "Link Type". Now let's say that there are three employees working in this company whose job titles are Sales Manager , Salesman , and Secretary . Their names are John Doe , Jane Smith , and Jack Brown . They all have phones numbers that are 800-123-4567 , 562-746-1234 , and 650-555-0123 respectively. Lastly, let's say that there are five employees working in this company whose job titles are Manager , Associate , Clerk , Coordinator , and Assistant . Their names are Michael Smith , Andrew Johnson , Lisa Jones , Mark Brown , and Taylor Smith . They all have email addresses that are [email protected] , [email protected] , [email protected] , [email protected] , and [email protected] respectively. Now suppose that an employee named Jack Brown has been assigned as an admin and he/she wants to send out a message to all sales managers in his/her organization using OneSignal. He/she logs into his/her account on OneSignal and clicks on the dropdown menu next to his/her name at the top left corner of his/her screen. He/she then chooses "Edit Profile" from the dropdown menu and selects the button entitled "Enable Integrations" in the box entitled "Push Notifications Integrations." After that he/she clicks on the button entitled "+New Integrations" under "Other Push Integrations." This will bring up a new window where he/she can enter different information about his/her integration with OneSignal for Airtable. He/she then chooses Airtable from the list of available services and clicks on the button entitled "Next Step." Then he/she clicks on the button entitled "Connect with Airtable." Next he/she enters his/her username and password for his/her Airtable account into their corresponding fields in their new window. After that he/she clicks on the button entitled "Login." This will automatically connect him/her with his/her Airtable account which will allow him/her to use his/her Airtable account with OneSignal. Now suppose that an employee named Jane Smith wants to send out a message to all sales managers in her organization using OneSignal as well but this time she wants her message to be personalized according to certain criteria such as gender and age. She logs into her account on OneSignal and follows steps 1~3 above except this time she chooses Personalized Messages from the list of available services instead of OneSignal from step 1 ~ 3 above before entering her login information for her Airtable account in step 4 above. Now she clicks on the button entitled "Save Integration." This time she follows steps 4 ~ 7 above except this time she chooses her customized messages from step 6 instead of choosing Airtable from step 4 above before clicking on step 8 above where she chooses her customized messages which she created in step 6 above before clicking on step 9 above where she chooses her target audience which is all sales managers from step 7 above before clicking on step 10 above where she chooses her target audience which is all employees from step 7 above before clicking on step 11 above where she enters her target audience which is all employees from step 7 above before clicking on step 12 above where she chooses her target audience which is all male employees from step 7 above before clicking on step 13 above where she chooses her target audience which is all female employees from step 7 above before clicking on step 14 above where she enters her message which says "Hello everyone! Welcome back from vacation!" before clicking on step 15 above where she chooses her language which is English before clicking on step 16 above where she chooses her date ranging from today until Friday before clicking on step 17 above where she clicks on OK which will bring her back to her main page where she can now start sending out messages to all of her organization's employees through OneSignal using her personalized messages!
