Airtable is a database management system that gives the user the ability to create different databases for different purposes. These databases can be created with a variety of different templates and can be customized to fit the needs of the user. By using Airtable, the user is able to keep all of their information in one place and easily search for it when it is needed. Airtable also allows users to share their databases with other people in order to collaborate on projects and to keep everyone on the same page. Another benefit of Airtable is that it works as a CRM, which makes it easier for users to manage their contacts and customers.
Cloud Firestore is a NoSQL service developed by Google to help developers build their apps. Cloud Firestore can be used as a single database or as a collection of multiple databases. This gives the user the power to choose how they would like to use Cloud Firestore. The application programming interface (API. for Cloud Firestore consists of making HTTP requests and JSON responses. There are two kinds of data in Cloud Firestore. documents and collections. Documents are collections of fields that contain data and collections are lists of documents that can be queried. Cloud Firestore offers the functionality of offline support and real-time data sync across different devices.
In order to integrate Airtable with Cloud Firestore, it is necessary that the user has an account with both companies. The first step in integrating these two platforms is creating an instance of an Airtable API in the project's variables.json file. This will allow the program to open a connection between the API and the program. The second step is creating a new instance of the Airtable API in the console. Next, an API key must be added to the project's credentials.json file and the new instance must be used as a variable when constructing a new instance in firebaseConfig.js. After this step, a permissionId must be added to the credentials file. To obtain a permissionId, go to settings on Airtable's website and then add the permissionId through code in firebaseConfig.js. Once these steps have been completed, it should be possible for the program to connect to Airtable's API using NodeJS. The next step is creating an instance of Cloud Storage in firebaseConfig.js, which will allow the program to connect to Cloud Firestore. Using this instance, a reference ID must be obtained following Google's documentation, which will allow the server side to make requests using NodeJS.
The integration of these two platforms makes it possible for users to share information between them without having to leave their apps. An example of this would be if a user had made a list of their contacts in Airtable, they could easily integrate that list into one of their apps that uses Cloud Firestore by simply sharing it from Airtable. Also, users are able to view all of their different projects on one platform by using Airtable as the main hub for all of their information since it acts as a database. Another benefit of integrating these two platforms is that it becomes easier for users to access information from anywhere since they use different platforms, but it requires only one app to access everything on both platforms at once. Because both platforms offer real-time updates, any changes made on either platform will immediately show up on the other platform as well. For example, if a new contact was added on Airtable, that person would automatically appear on all devices connected to Cloud Firestore once it was updated in Airtable.
