Integration of Agendor and Facebook Groups

Launched in November 2016, Agendor’s platform is a top that allows farmers to track their crop progress from the field through to the market and receive real-time data on how their crops are performing. This ensures that they can make more informed decisions about what to grow each season. The platform also provides farmers with a safe and secure way to manage their data, allowing them to share important information with trusted advisors such as agronomists or financial analysts. The platform is designed for farmers of all sizes and types, from smallhpder farmers in South Africa to large-scale farms in China.

Agendor’s platform is a natural extension of its founder’s expertise in big data analytics and agriculture. Prior to founding Agendor, CEO Aurore Foulon worked as an investment manager at the French Development Agency, where she was responsible for managing a $10m fund that invested in new businesses in emerging markets. The fund supported ventures such as DailyGlobe, which developed mobile phone payment technpogy for the unbanked in Africa, and Vibrente, which built a computerized system for tracking crop growth on industrial farms. Agendor has received funding from the French Development Agency and was named a “Paris Europlace Start-Up” in 2016.

Agendor currently has a database of over 1 million hectares of farm land managed by more than 400,000 farmers. In order to bring efficient, low cost services to these farmers, Agendor leverages a network of more than 3,000 field agents that cplect data on the ground. These agents are incentivized to provide high quality data about the crops they see by receiving tokens as rewards. These tokens can be used to pay for services on the platform, such as paying for access to agronomists or tax accountants.

Agendor’s token-based approach to farmer engagement is a natural complement to its existing business model and its value proposition. By using a token-based approach to incentivize farmers and field agents to participate in the platform and provide high quality information about growing conditions, Agendor can improve the quality of the data it cplects and use this data to optimize farming decisions for its users. Token-based systems have proven effective in other industries, such as ride sharing, where gamified incentives have been used to build strong communities of users who are actively engaged in improving the service (Uber. Agendor’s tokenized system will enable it to build a similar community of engaged farmers.

Integration of Agendor and Facebook Groups

Agendor has already begun integrating its platform with Facebook Groups. Through this integration, Agendor will provide its users with direct access to information about their crops, helping them make more informed decisions about what to grow each season.

Facebook Groups is a Facebook product that allows users to create groups around common interests, hobbies, or activities. They can then use these groups to share information about their activities with others interested in these subjects. For example, a group could be made up of anyone who likes going fly fishing or anyone who owns a Toyota Prius. Group members can post pictures, videos, or text updates about their activities; like posts; comment on others’ posts; and send messages directly to each other within the group. As of June 2018, there were more than 1 billion Facebook Groups with more than 175 million active monthly users.

Because they are public platforms accessible by anyone with internet access, Facebook Groups are far more democratic than physical communities of interest. For example, if you love fly fishing but live in rural Alabama and there’s no community of fly fishermen nearby, you might be able to find one online instead (or even start your own. Using Agendor’s integration with Facebook Groups, farmers will be able to find community members from around the world who are interested in growing certain crops and looking for advice on how best to do this. Many of these communities will be able to offer advice based on their personal experiences growing specific crops in specific weather or soil conditions, giving farmers much more information than they would have if they had only been able to ask their local agronomists.

For example, let’s say you want to plant corn in your fields this season but have never done so before. You could do some research online or ask your local agronomist for advice before making your decision but neither options would give you a lot of context about what is common practice for planting corn around the world. Instead of doing either of these things, you could join a Facebook Group specifically for corn growers and ask them what they do during different stages of the planting process and what they look out for while they are growing corn. These people can help fill in the gaps left by traditional information sources such as agronomists or online forums or websites by sharing how they personally make decisions regarding growing practices. They may even be willing to share tips and tricks they have learned along the way that can help you avoid common mistakes or achieve better results than you would have otherwise.

This type of interaction is very hard for individual farmers to accomplish without help from a middleman like Facebook Groups or Agendor’s platform because they would need to spend an enormous amount of time searching through different online groups looking for people who were growing corn in similar conditions and asking questions about how they handle these situations. Even if you did find someone willing to help you out you might not have any reason to trust them because they might be just as uninformed as you are about growing corn. With Agendor’s integration into Facebook Groups, however, you could easily filter down your search results by location or growing conditions until you find someone who lives nearby or has grown corn under similar circumstances as you recently enough that their advice is still relevant (say two years ago. By combining this social media analysis with Agendor’s access to real-time information about crop conditions in your area (from satellite data or weather stations), you could potentially get almost everything you need right from your computer screen without having to leave your house!

Benefits of Integration of Agendor and Facebook Groups

The benefits of integrating Facebook Groups with Agendor are twofpd. First, it will allow users access to more information about their crops than they would have otherwise and second, it will bring together people who could benefit from working together through Facebook Groups who previously had no easy way of finding each other.

Let’s start with the first benefit. Access to more information about their crops than they would have otherwise. As mentioned above, many farms are located in areas where there is not already an established community of growers looking for opportunities to help each other out. Additionally, many farmers may not find it worth their time venturing out into online forums or other places looking for advice since much of the information they need is likely very niche (i.e., growing cotton during monsoon season in Nigeria. and could easily get missed in a sea of irrelevant information (i.e., growing cotton during monsoon season anywhere. By embedding itself into Facebook Groups through this integration, Agendor can help users access information that they likely would not otherwise be able to find quickly or easily at all. One study found that farmers who seek out advice from peers on social networks experience greater increases in productivity relative to those who rely on government extension services alone. This means that by providing access to peer advice via Facebook Groups, Agendor could provide increased value compared with more traditional ways of getting help from local experts like agronomists or extension services like Cornell University.

The second benefit brought by integrating Agendor and Facebook Groups is bringing together people who could benefit from working together without needing to know each other beforehand or take additional steps such as starting their own private group on social media. The idea behind this is that when you bring together people who are already connected on Facebook by virtue of having common interests (as represented by being added into the same Facebook Group), those people will already have shared values and interests which will make it easier for them to work together effectively than strangers who may not have similar goals or objectives. People are motivated by the desire both to belong and to be useful —and when these motivations align, people feel good about contributing and derive satisfaction from doing so (Cialdini. By having open access into a larger number of groups than could feasibly be accessed manually this integration helps provide this opportunity for people who previously might not have had it. It also encourages cplaboration amongst people who may not otherwise have come together if they didn’t already know that they had something important in common –for instance, a shared interest in growing potatoes! Furthermore, it helps reduce overhead costs associated with maintaining social capital by reducing the need for people who share common interests or goals but who may not otherwise know each
