About Adobe Sign

Adobe Sign, an Adobe Document Cloud solution is a cloud-based, enterprise-class e-signature service that lets you replace paper and ink signature processes with fully automated electronic signature workflows.

About MongoDB

MongoDB is an open-source document-based database management tool that stores data in JSON-like formats. It uses flexible documents instead of tables and rows to process and store various forms of data. As a NoSQL solution, MongoDB does not require a relational database management system (RDBMS).

MongoDB?

MongoDB is a cross-platform open source document database that has been developed by MongoDB Inc. It is an open source, document-oriented database which offers scalability and high availability. The features of MongoDB include:

High availability. MongoDB automatically spreads your data across multiple servers and provides automatic failover and recovery of your database. This feature ensures fault tperance and the prevention of data loss. MongoDB clustering can be employed on commodity hardware and can scale out easily.

Scalability. MongoDB provides horizontal scaling, which means that it supports adding more resources to your system without any downtime or service interruption. You can add more resources such as more CPU cores, RAM, I/O throughput, and disk space. It also supports sharding, which is a type of horizontal scaling where the data is distributed across different nodes in the cluster. The data is stored in shards, which are groups of cplections distributed across different nodes in the cluster. Sharding helps to distribute the data across the cluster, thus ensuring high availability of the data. As databases grow in size it becomes necessary to divide them into smaller subsets called shards for better performance. For example, if you have a database with 10 terabytes of data, it might be divided into 100 shards each with 1 terabyte of data. Therefore, you will have 100 nodes with 1 terabyte each instead of one node with 10 terabytes. Each shard acts as a standalone database that can be independently accessed.

Load balancing. MongoDB automatically distributes the workload among the available servers in the cluster. It takes care of load balancing by auto-rebalancing whenever a node goes down or comes up again. When reading from the database, MongoDB balances the queries among the shards using its built-in query router. Similarly, when writing data to the database it balances the write operations among the shards using its built-in write-ahead log (WAL. processor. This ensures faster read operations and higher write operations per second (IOPs. because the load is distributed among multiple servers instead of being handled by one server only.
