There are many people who create a solid infographic with a great story, then just share a link to it on Facebook with no visual or commentary. There are plenty of options for how your infographic can be uploaded to Facebook but the take here is not to upload your full infographic as a photo to Facebook. Your audience will not be able to read a word. Here’s a step-by-step guide to use Facebook to promote your infographic.
1. Log in to your Facebook account
Log in to your Facebook account and go to the Ads Create Tool. You can search for this tool or just enter the URL directly.
2. Use the URL for the infographic you want to promote
If you have already posted your infographic on a channel (blog, social platform etc.), you can directly copy and paste its URL.
3. Include an image
In many cases, a thumbnail is not enough as it makes data and graphics too small to read easily. Consider just taking the title if it’s attractive.
4. Consider multiple images
Not sure which graphic is the best? You can include several. Focus your budget towards the image that’s performing best. Facebook allows up to 6 images.
5. Write the text for your ad
If you want viewers to click through to see the complete infographic, then make sure that you write some compelling text to go with it. Consider a question that your infographic answers, and be sure that the text is clear to viewers.
6. Choose the type of your ad and its placement
You can place the ad for your infographic in the News Feed, the right column, or both. The importance of placing your ad in the News Feed is that readers are more likely to engage with your content because it’s appearing amidst text and photos posted by their friends.
7. Select a target audience
Facebook allows you to narrow down your audience through specific filters like location, age, education, and connections.
8. Make sure the list of your target audience is large enough
As you narrow down your audience, an estimate of your audience size will appear on the right. You should make sure that you have at least a good number as your audience.
9. Set a budget
Facebook will let you set a budget and you can figure it out based on your goals. Your ad will be placed on Facebook based on the budget you set. You can select optimized bidding to automatically help you achieve the goals you set, or you can select Advanced Settings to have more control.
10. Double and triple check
Make sure that the spelling, image, and link are all correct. A minor typo, image error, or broken link will compromise your brand credibility, and you want to make sure you’re getting the worth of your money out of your ad.
By choosing the right target audience and having compelling text and images, you can use the Facebook Ad tool to the fullest to increase the number of views on your infographic. To create visually beautiful infographics you can use Appy Pie Design.
