Video Transcription: In this video I'm going to be walking you through how to create an eBay account a PayPal account and how to link them together so let's get started so in your browser bar you're going to want to open a tab and go to ebay comm and open a separate tab and open paypal comm and we're going to start by creating an eBay account so in the top left hand corner you'll see an option to register and if you don't have an eBay account already you're gonna want to click on that and you're gonna have an option to create a personal account or a business account and if you're just getting started you're gonna want to use a personal account even if you plan on using it for business that's because there really isn't much of a difference between having a personal and business account and the business account is only if you have already registered so you might have have an LLC or an S corporation but if you haven't registered as a business which you most likely have in at this point then don't worry about it you're not losing or sacrificing anything by starting a personal account so here just want to fill in your information create a password and that's it now I have an account and now when you click on my eBay you'll be taken to your dashboard and right now I have a strange username but don't worry that can be changed so now it's time to create a PayPal account and to do that you're gonna want to click on sign up in the top right hand corner and just the same as eBay you have the option to do a personal or business account and if you don't have a registered business already then just go with the personal account and if you grow your business over time you can always change from a personal to a business account so it's really not a problem.
If you don't do the business account right away so you want to click continue and sign up now I already have a PayPal account that I'm going to use so I'm not gonna go through this but it's very simple you just enter your email create a password and enter a few a little bit more information and you have a PayPal account so now let's go back to eBay and link them together so in order to link your eBay and PayPal account you're going to want to click on the my are the account tab under my eBay and once you're here in the left side panel you'll see the PayPal account you want to click on that and now that we're here you're gonna want to click on link my PayPal account in the bottom right hand corner and it'll take you a few a few short steps that you can go through and once you're done you'll now have an eBay and PayPal account that are linked together and one last thing before I end this video if you want to change this username which you probably will this is something that's easier to remember you can click on the personal information link over in the my account area and after clicking on that on user ID just click on the edit button and it will ask you to sign in and here you can enter a new user ID and just keep in mind that you can only change your user ID at once every 30 days so you want to think it through it's just something that you like but don't worry about it too much because it doesn't make that much of a difference.
