Video Transcription: In this video I want to talk about finding a niche that has natural marketing strategies built-in. This video is brought to you by Appy Pie Academy. to illustrate a company that has no natural marketing built-in I'll first go over the common ones that there are and I'll show you an example of one that like literally had none and how difficult it was for that company so first let's go through that so the question one is how do you promote are their natural marketing strategy so what are they do people search this out if your company something really simple like you're selling socks what people search for socks when they need it if it's cleaning business well people search for that if they need it if it's a known thing or service people search for it and so you have a natural strategy ok people search for it you so your strategy is related to SEO search engine optimization now what about maybe their specific interest groups that might be interested in this like if you show how to bake bread and there are like existing cooking groups and people Baker's well ok you got a place to promote there maybe you have a entertaining or fun or unique business or niche in which products or videos or content goes viral ok it's for the sharing sharing is maybe the way to promote are their natural ads that you can run obviously you can run ads for anything but there are some things that ads are more effective than for others it's common with search right if you if people are searching for something that means they really wanted right now and so if you show ads in search often you can get good results from that but if you run ads to something that people don't necessarily need you might not have as good of a results also you can think about local versus global marketing let's say you are selling anything any service or product globally while you have to compete with everyone in the world whereas if you compete locally then of course you your competition is a fraction of the global competition market so sometimes you can maybe have a local business which is in demand but not too competitive so that's one way to go and now that we started thinking about like are any of these points applicable to your niche of idea or idea if they're not as a problem usually at least one of one or two of these are a good fit but let me show you a company that I actually worked with and I know well where there was like nothing that they could do to promote when I worked with them they were called comply they changed their model a little bit to command post and this happened after I stopped working with them so this actually tells me that their original model ended up never working so they have to switch now this used to be comply the name of this company used to be comply and what this company was is a way to monitor or track compliance of influence or promotions so for example if I start promoting something on Twitter and I say hey guys this is an amazing service I love it and if I don't disclose that actually I'm getting paid for saying that as an influencer that actually violates United States law so influencers have to disclose when they promote products they have to say this is a promotion I mean I mean they're a partner or I'm getting paid to promote this they have to be transparent about that if they don't say that they can get in trouble they're violating the law so there was a law passed a few years ago that says they have to disclose and this company helped with the disclosure procedure helped me to help to make it easy helped to track it for for individuals they don't have to disclose as much because usually even though it's illegal they don't get caught but where this really comes into play what is with giant gigantic brands can get sued for billions and millions and millions of dollars so that's where was dangerous so this company they would they couldn't promote themselves on social media nobody knew to search for this for very much this this is not a fun viral business in fact it's boring compliance is really boring there was no way to promote this the only way to promote this was direct sales they had to go and try to sell this to companies and income and the sales process wasn't effective and they couldn't get much publicity for this so there's like no way to promote this and that was the struggle a consistent major struggle how do you promote this thing nobody wants it and it's useful it's not it's not even not useful it's useful so and they never solved it in the end you would think that companies would buy it if you reached out to them directly big brands would actually be into this because it would help them a lot but for some reason or another the sales just weren't like the direct sales the kind of b2b sales they just weren't effective and there was no other way to really promote this and the company was just stagnant okay so that's an example where like there was nothing that could be done so where's the first question was are what are the natural ways to promote this that's the question the second question you've got to ask yourself is what are the correct platforms or strategies for promoting this and then you have to look at them and see are they too crowded for example let's say you have a fitness business and of course Fitness is a perfect fit for visual platforms like Instagram like YouTube but they are just so crowded with every trainer is doing something on Instagram creating a lot of stuff on YouTube for years and years already so that space has been so crowded so like where can you either carve out a niche within a niche within a niche or maybe there's like a new or a different platform where your particular approach might make more sense so those are the two questions really what are the natural ways to promote this and after you've got the natural ways to promote this look at the specific ways and see how competitive is it are you going to be able to promote within that niche or do you have to niche down or do you have to shift your niche in a little bit to avoid competing directly with the very established companies.
