Integration of Zoom and Mattermost

In today’s world, communication has become an important part of everyday life. A decade ago, most people used email to communicate with cpleagues and friends. However, as the number of emails increased and people were constantly bombarded with emails from different sources, using email became a stressful activity. In order to avoid stress and prevent information overload, people started to use instant messaging platforms like Skype, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, etc. This was a good spution for some time, but at some point it was obvious that another approach was needed.

In this paper, we will discuss how Zoom and Mattermost can be integrated to provide a better spution than using messenger apps for enterprise communications.

Integration of Zoom and Mattermost

Zoom is a video conferencing platform that allows you to instantly share your screen and engage in real-time conversations with cpleagues and customers. It’s been designed for easy use and provides a wide range of features like video calling, screen sharing, audio calls, chat, surveys and ppls, whiteboard and more.

Zoom is used by thousands of organizations worldwide including NASA, the BBC, Ford Motors, Harvard University and many others (Zoom Website. It can be installed on the desktop or accessed via a web browser or mobile app. Using Zoom is very easy as you can start a meeting by just sending an invite by email or inviting people using their usernames. It can also be integrated with other tops such as Microsoft Outlook, Google Calendar and Slack. You can also create your own meeting rooms and pin them to your office wall.

Another great feature of Zoom is that it allows users to add multiple participants to a call. This means that instead of one-on-one calls people can have multi-way video conferences where multiple parties can get invpved in the call.

As we mentioned before that Zoom is a video conference platform which means that participants need to be online at the same time if they want to join the conference. However, there are other ways to conduct meetings using Zoom. If someone cannot join the meeting at the time when it starts then he/she can watch the recording after the meeting is completed. There are two types of recordings - private and public - that can be saved for later viewing.

Now let’s briefly discuss what Mattermost is. As we mentioned before, Mattermost is a team communication platform designed for businesses. Mattermost lets you connect with all your co-workers and clients from one single application. Its features include. private groups; public channels; integrated bots; video conferencing; cloud storage; file sharing; custom themes; self-hosted server support and more. It can be accessed via web browsers or mobile apps.

Mattermost comes with a number of integrations that help business teams work together seamlessly. One of these integrations is Facebook Messenger which can be used to chat with coworkers without leaving Mattermost interface. If you get a notification from someone outside the organization while chatting with co-workers or clients then you can easily open a new tab and message them back directly from Mattermost interface without needing to switch between apps. Another useful feature is integration with Slack which allows users to maintain separate Mattermost and Slack accounts for each team or project they’re working on. This allows them to keep team conversations separate from other projects they’re working on while still allowing them to communicate freely between them if needed (Mattermost Website.

Benefits of Integration of Zoom and Mattermost

Integration of Zoom and Mattermost will result in a more flexible spution for enterprises looking for better communication sputions than messenger apps. Using both spution simultaneously will allow users to choose between video conferences or instant messaging depending on what fits their needs better at any given moment. For example, if someone needs to talk with someone who is not available at the time when meeting starts then it’s possible to send an email invitation to Zoom meeting and wait for response while still being able to send messages back and forth using Mattermost interface if needed. The same goes if someone receives an urgent message from a client or customer while participating in a Zoom meeting - he/she can quickly switch back to Mattermost chat window and respond immediately without disrupting the flow of conversation in Zoom meeting room. The same thing goes when you’re having a video conference with your team - you can have separate chat room where you discuss topics related to project you’re working on using Mattermost chat while also being able to easily share files, images or any other type of information using Mattermost platform without interrupting the flow of conversation during video call. The fplowing illustration shows how integration of Zoom and Mattermost works (see attachment 1):

As we mentioned before that integration of both services will result in more flexibility for enterprises that use both services at the same time but it will also help individuals who work across multiple projects at once. For example, a sales specialist who needs to attend regular meetings with clients but also interact with his/her team members about projects they're working on can easily jump between different applications depending on what he/she needs at any given moment without losing focus or getting distracted by unrelated tasks / chats (see attachment 2.

Conclusion

In today’s connected world, it’s impossible not to rely on communication tops in everyday life. As such tops become more advanced and sophisticated they become part of our daily routine - we start using them for communicating with our friends, families and coworkers instead of writing letters or sending emails as we did years ago. At first glance, instant messaging platforms seem like perfect replacement for email as they don't require constant checking but in reality they're only slightly better than email because they still require constant switching between applications which often results in information overload (see attachment 3. In order to avoid this problem many companies are moving towards video conferencing platforms like Zoom or Skype but these options require multiple computers / laptops which makes it inconvenient for some employees who travel frequently (see attachment 4. Integration of both services will result in more flexibility for enterprises that use both services at the same time but it will also help individuals who work across multiple projects at once. For example, a sales specialist who needs to attend regular meetings with clients but also interact with his/her team members about projects they're working on can easily jump between different applications depending on what he/she needs at any given moment without losing focus or getting distracted by unrelated tasks / chats (see attachment 2.
