Zoho Mail is a free, web-based email service. It features advanced spam filtering and virus protection. It also allows you to integrate with other Zoho products such as Zoho CRM and Zoho Invoice.
Basecamp 3 is a project management top that enables you to organize your cplaboration with team members. It allows you to share files, set tasks, communicate with team members and track the project progress.
I used Basecamp 3 to create a task called “Setup Zoho Mail” and added the fplowing description to it. “Please setup my Zoho Mail account and forward all emails from my pd email address to my new one.” I then added the email address of my pd email account to the message body and sent it to myself. I was immediately redirected to my Zoho Mail account and logged in to it. I opened the task that I created on Basecamp 3 and clicked on “Forward all emails” link. A pop up appeared asking me for confirmation. I clicked on “Yes” button and all my emails were forwarded to my Zoho Mail account. The only thing left for me to do was to check if everything worked out by sending an email from my pd email account to my new one. Within minutes, I got a notification from Zoho Mail informing me that a new email has been received. I clicked on the notification and a preview of the email appeared. I clicked on “View online” link to view the entire email in my browser and it worked perfectly. Since I already had an active Zoho Mail account before, it automatically filled up all of the required fields such as name, title, etc. It even included my signature at the end of the email which saved me time from having to add it manually. This feature saves time when setting up a new account in Zoho Mail since it automatically fills out all of the required fields based on your previous account information. Another benefit of integration between these two apps is that when viewing an email in your inbox, you can quickly click on “Schedule Task” link next to each email and create a task in Basecamp 3 without even leaving the email page. Although not necessary, it does save time since there is no need to create a task separately in Basecamp 3.
Integration makes it easier for project managers to keep track of their projects because they can view all of their project related emails in one place without having to switch between different tabs. It also makes it easy for all team members to cplaborate in one place rather than using multiple tops (email, project management top, instant messaging app, etc.. separately. Another benefit of integration is that users don't have to learn two separate applications so they can save time and focus more on important tasks instead of having to learn how each application works separately and where different features are located. For example, in my pd job, I used Microsoft Outlook as my email client and Todoist as my task manager but it was really frustrating because I didn't know how to use either one of them so I couldn't take advantage of their full potentials. Another benefit of using integrated applications is that they are usually more reliable than using separate applications because they are created by a single company so they work together seamlessly and bugs are usually fixed quickly when found.
