Welcome to Business Process Management (BPM)! This course offers a comprehensive introduction to process modeling and execution. Our focus is on business processes in the service sector. We will therefore concentrate on processes such as composing, delivering and serving the customer. Theoretical notions and concepts will be supported by practical examples based on real-world scenarios.

This course is ideal for beginners with little or no experience in the subject. However, it covers comprehensive information that can also be beneficial to more experienced professionals.
Welcome to the process modeler. Please select the model you wish to edit using the Model menu in the upper left corner of the screen. The Model menu is divided into four sections. Entities, Decisions, Contrplers, and Attributes. Each section contains models that are relevant to them. For instance, Entities contains all entities in your model, while Attributes contains all attributes within your entities. When you select an entity in the Entities section, all related entities are displayed in the Entities section. When you select an attribute in the Attributes section, all entities that contain that attribute are displayed in the Attributes section. To return to the process map, simply press M. If you would like to view your entities or attributes in groups, you can click “Group by” under the Entities or Attributes section. To add entities or attributes to your model, click “Add” under the appropriate section. To remove entities or attributes from your model, click “Remove” under the appropriate section. You can view all of your entities or attributes by clicking “All Entities” or “All Attributes” under the Entities or Attributes section. You can view all of your associations between entities by clicking “Associations” under the Entities section. To show or hide breakpoints in your model, click “Show Breakpoints” or “Hide Breakpoints” under the Breakpoints section. Breakpoints show you which parts of your model are currently being executed when you run it. To start editing your model, click “Edit” under the Process Associations section on the right side of the screen. To start editing another model, click “Create” under the Model menu on the upper left side of the screen. To exit the editor, click “Exit” on the top right side of the screen. You will be asked if you want to save your changes before doing so. To access help while editing your model, press F1. You can search for any topic related to Business Process Management using our advanced search field located on the top right side of the screen.
