Zoho Creator + Trello Integrations

This article is about the integration of Zoho Creator and Trello. Zoho Creator is an online cplaboration top that allows users to create, share and store documents from anywhere. Trello is a free, web-based project management application. Zoho Creator is a powerful document creation top, but it can also be used as a full-blown content management spution. It is a great top for creating websites, blogs and wikis. It has a built-in WYSIWYG editor, templates and plug-ins. These features make it easy to create web pages, blogs and wikis. It has all the latest web technpogies integrated into its system, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and jQuery. Trello is a digital bulletin board that is quite popular among software developers, designers and other professionals.

Integration of Zoho Creator and Trello

Zoho Creator is integrated with Trello. This means that you can use Zoho Creator to create and manage your Trello boards. To integrate Zoho Creator and Trello, you need to install a Zoho Creator app in your browser. You can visit https://zohocreator.zoho.eu/app/ to see a list of apps that are available for different browsers like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Safari. After installing the app, you will see the “New” button on the top right corner of your browser window.

When you click on this button, you will see both options for creating documents and boards. You can create new documents or boards by clicking on either option. You can create new boards by clicking on “Create Board” option or you can create new documents by clicking on “Create Document” option. After clicking on these options, you will be prompted to enter details such as name of the board or document and description. You will also have an option to select whether you want to create a private board or a public board. If you select public board, then other people will be able to see your board and can also add their own boards to this board. For example, if you are using Trello to keep track of your work schedule, then you could create one board for each day of the week and assign tasks to each day. Other people who you want to participate in this project will be able to add their own boards to this board and assign tasks to these days as well (see image below.

You will also have an option to upload an image for the board or document that you are creating. There are four types of boards in Trello. Boards, Lists, Cards and Checklists. Each of these four objects has properties that are specific to itself but they also have some common properties as well which will be described below:

• Board Name – You can choose any name for your board and this name will appear in any card related to this board (see image below.
• Description – This is an optional field where you can write description about your board. For example, if your board is related to books you have read, then you could write a description about how many books you have read so far and what books you plan on reading next etc.
• Privacy – There are three privacy levels. Public, Private and Unlisted. If you choose public setting then anyone will be able to see your board if they visit Trello website. If you choose private setting then only people who you invite will be able to see your board on Trello website. If you choose unlisted setting then your board will not be shown on trello website but people who have access to this board will see this board when they log in through Zoho Creator app (see image below.
• Card Layout – This is an important property because it determines how cards will be displayed in the board. You have five options for card layout. Simple List, Kanban Boards, Calendar View, Burndown Chart and Scrum Boards (see image below. When you select one of these options, then all cards in the board will be displayed according to the selected layout.
• Card Cpor – You can set cpor for each card separately (see image below. The default cpor for each type of card is blue but you can change this cpor by clicking on the cpor box after selecting the card type from dropdown menu (see image below.
• Cards with images – For each card that has image attached with it, there is an option to view image by clicking on “View Image” link (see image below. Also for each card that has images attached with it, there is a link “Delete Image” which allows users to delete those images from cards. This feature is useful when users want to save storage space on their hard drive by removing unnecessary images from cards (see image below.
• Card Properties – All cards have three properties. Name, Description and Tags (see image below. By default card name is same as title of card but users can change its name by clicking on “Edit” link after selecting card (see image below. Users can add tags by entering new tag name at “Add Tag” section (see image below. Users can also edit their description by clicking on “Edit” link after selecting card (see image below.
• Card Relationships – For example if user creates two cards such as “Read Books” and “Write Book Review” then there is an option to create relationship between these two cards called “Is Part Of” which allows users to specify that one card is part of another category (see image below. The list of available relationships are. Read Books, Write Book Review etc. If users want that one card is part of multiple categories then they just need to select more than one category from dropdown menu (see image below. While adding relationship between cards user needs to enter name for this relationship at “Relationship Name” section at bottom left corner (see image below. After adding relationship between two cards users can see a small icon between these two cards in the board (see image below. This icon indicates that these two cards are related with each other (see image below. Users can remove relationship between two cards by clicking on “Remove Relationship” link after selecting two cards (see image below. By default when users add relationship between two cards then they can see a checkbox next to relationship name so that they can easily remove this relationship if they want (see image below. But if users want that they cannot remove this relationship without unchecking this checkbox then they can turn off this option by clicking on checkbox next to “Allow Relationships Between Cards” text box (see image below. This feature will allow users to create relationships between cards without allowing them to remove these relationships easily.
• Card Tasks – In addition to normal tasks, users can also add sub tasks and subtasks inside tasks for each card (see image below. Subtasks are indented from the parent task so that users can easily see information about subtasks under parent task in order. Sub tasks are indented from parent tasks so that users do not have trouble in finding information about subtasks inside tasks in large number of cards in boards (see image below. Users can also reorder subtasks with respect to parent task by dragging and dropping tasks with mouse cursor (see image below. As with parent task, users can also create hierarchy of sub tasks under subtasks by dragging sub task onto another sub task (see image below. so that they can arrange details inside sub tasks in whatever way they want. When user adds subtasks inside main task he/she can also enter names for these subtasks inside title field by using auto completion feature while typing name of subtask so that user does not have trouble in remembering names of subtasks he/she added (see image below. Also there is an option “Show Subtasks Link” for each parent task where users can set value as true or false so that if user sets value as true then there will be a link next to parent task which links directly to subtasks inside this task instead of showing all subtasks together under parent task (see image below. When user unchecks this checkbox then link for subtask goes away and user has to click on parent task again if he/she wants to go directly to subtasks inside this task (see image above. Users can also change names of sub tasks by double clicking on these sub tasks and typing names inside “Subtask Name” section on
