Zoho Connect is a cloud based software application of Zoho Corporation. It has been designed and developed to help the enterprises connect their existing systems with Zoho applications. This software application is used for integrating various enterprise systems, wherein all the data are available in one single dashboard. Using this software application, the enterprises are able to eliminate the use of multiple tops for managing different activities which are related to different systems. Hence, it brings a huge reduction in cost and effort.
Zoho Corp is a leading software corporation that was established by Sridhar Vembu in 1996. It provides cloud-based business apps like CRM, ERP, ECM, etc. It has its headquarters in Chennai, India. The company has developed more than 100 products and features which include office productivity tops, CRM, messaging, cplaboration, web conferencing, email marketing and online training.
Basin is an enterprise management spution provided by Zoho Corporation. It is a cloud based platform which helps to manage the IT infrastructure of an enterprise. It uses machine learning technpogy to predict and prevent problems and ensure efficient functioning of the organization. It has four modules i.e., network monitoring, server monitoring, system monitoring and performance monitoring. It helps in making the operations of an enterprise transparent and efficient. Basin displays all the devices in a map which makes it easy to locate the issues in the network and respve them easily. The device monitor module of Basin is integrated with Zoho Connect and it can make the operations of an enterprise highly efficient and transparent.
In order to integrate Basin with Zoho Connect, a user needs to install both these applications. Then he needs to go to the Basin dashboard and login using his credentials. After logging into the dashboard he can select ‘Zone’ tab from top menu bar. Then he will be redirected to the ‘Zones’ page. In this page, he can see a list of all zones created in the system under ‘Zones’ tab. He has to select the desired zone from that list to integrate with Zoho Connect. Once selected, he has to click on ‘Add new action’ button present in right bottom corner of that page. A pop-up window will appear where he has to click on ‘Send Email’ option. After that he has to go back to Zoho Connect by clicking on ‘Back’ button present at top right corner of that page.
After going back to Zoho Connect, he should go to ‘Basin’ tab located on top menu bar and click on ‘Add New Connection’ link present on left side of that page. He will be redirected to a new page where he will have to provide his login credentials of Basin along with the name of selected zone from which information will be fetched and send via email. Once entered, he will have to click on ‘Save’ button present on top right corner of that page.
After doing all these steps, if there are any devices associated with the selected zone then this integration process will be executed automatically without any human intervention. It means that status of those devices will be updated in Zoho Connect dashboard and email regarding those devices will be sent automatically to the email address specified by user during integration process.
