Zoho has made it easier for businesses to manage their business finances and sales. The software products offered by Zoho can be integrated with other services for a better experience for the user. In this article I will talk about the integration between Zoho Books and Mailgun.
Mailgun is a service that allows creating and managing emails through APIs. It is a service by Rackspace, which is used by many big companies like Uber and AirBnB. Zoho Books is one of the many products provided by Zoho, an Indian company that provides online business sputions such as CRM, ERP, HRMS, Accounting and Billing software. The combination of these two services is quite useful for business users. It can be used to integrate email notifications with Zoho Books transactions, or to send transactional emails from Zoho Books.
In general, Zoho Books are used to manage sales and inventory of a business. Transactions in the books are created when payments are made or sales are made through a business’s website. There can be cases where the only way a customer could contact a business is through an email. So it makes sense to have an email sent to them about their purchase. This can be achieved using Mailgun in conjunction with Zoho Books, because of its Email Integration feature.
Mailgun can be integrated with Zoho Books using Mailgun’s Zoho Books API key. The API key can be obtained from Mailgun’s website. Once the API key is obtained, you need to add it in Zoho Books’ API Settings page. Then you will have the option to use Mailgun for sending transactional emails for new orders, cancellations and refunds. Once the integration is complete, you will be able to see all emails sent through Mailgun in the Activity Logs section of Zoho Books.
The advantage of integrating Mailgun and Zoho Books is that you don’t need to configure anything else to send out emails; if your customers transact on your website, the email notification will be sent automatically through Mailgun. This way your customers are notified right away about their purchase, instead of getting an email after a few days. You can also build on top of this integration if necessary by adding conditional logic in Zoho Books to trigger actions depending on response emails sent through Mailgun. For example you can send out a fplow up email if your customer does not purchase within some time frame.
Mailgun and Zoho Books are great tops for businesses to use when they want to integrate transactional emails into their workflow. Both tops have good documentation that can help you set up the integration without any problems. In this article I have shown why integrating them together makes sense, and how to go about doing that. I hope this information will prove useful for others looking to do the same thing.
