OneDrive is a cloud storage service operated by Microsoft as part of its suite of online services. OneDrive allows users to store files of any type, including documents, photos, music, and videos. OneDrive offers 5 GB of storage space free of charge. An additional 15 GB can be obtained by referring friends to the service—each friend that signs up for OneDrive will earn you an additional 3 GB of storage space. Microsoft has also offered free storage upgrades for referrals in the past. OneDrive’s primary competitor is Google Drive, a similarly comprehensive file hosting service by Google which is included as part of G Suite.
