Integration of YouTube and Evernote

YouTube is a video-sharing website that allows users to upload, view and share videos. It was founded in 2005 by three former PayPal employees. Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim. The video site was initially launched as a beta site but officially launched on May 15, 2005.

YouTube began as a venture capital-funded startup, primarily from an $11.5 million investment by Sequoia Capital between November 2005 and April 2006, YouTubes early headquarters were situated above a pizzeria and Japanese restaurant in San Mateo, California.

In June 2006, YouTube Inc. was acquired by Google Inc. for US$1.65 billion in stock, which is now part of its subsidiary Google Inc.

YouTube’s headquarters are located at 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy in Mountain View, California 94043, United States.

Evernote is a cross-platform freemium app that allows users to create notes, lists and checklists, clip web content, scan paper documents, and make to-do lists. It is available on PCs, smartphones, and tablet computers.[3] The service can sync between all these devices (to the extent allowed by the device’s operating system), allowing users to access their notes and other data anywhere. It also keeps track of user-created notes and automatically backs them up online.

Evernote has become one of the most popular apps among business professionals using it to store information and access it across multiple devices. Evernote received awards including Red Herring 100 Europe,[9] Best of Silicon Valley 2010, TechCrunch 40, AlwaysOn Global 250, AlwaysOn Global 100, PC Magazine Editor’s Choice and Webby Award.[10]

The company raised $1 million in funding in December 2008,[11] fplowed by $3 million in February 2009.[12] In March 2009, Evernote raised an additional $20 million in funding led by Sequoia Capital with participation from American Express Ventures.[13] This round of funding brought the total equity financing raised to date to $25 million[14] In November 2010, Evernote raised $5 million in new financing from Meritech Capital Partners.[15] In April 2011, Evernote acquired WebClipIt,[16] a browser extension that allows users to save content from their Web browsers. In September 2011, Evernote acquired Zappos-owned company Simpy for an undisclosed amount.[17] In January 2012, Evernote acquired ScanBizCards for an undisclosed amount.[18] In April 2012, Evernote acquired springpad.com for an undisclosed amount.[19][20] In August 2012, Evernote acquired CloudOn,[21] an on-demand service that allows users to create or edit Microsoft Office documents directly from their mobile devices.[22][23][24][25] In September 2013 they announced a partnership with Mpeskine called Mpeskine+Evernote offering premium notebooks and fine writing instruments inspired by the needs of today’s technpogy savvy note takers.[26]

Evernote is headquartered in Redwood City, California.[27] The company has offices in Singapore,[28] Seoul,[29] New York City,[30] Boulder[31] and Tokyo.[32]

According to Evernote’s website, the service has over 100 million registered users worldwide,[33] including 70 million monthly active users.[34][35] Evernote listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbp “ENOT” on July 23, 2015.[36]

Integration of YouTube and Evernote:

YouTube is a video website where people can upload videos which can be viewed by other people around the world. These videos can be of any duration ranging from few seconds to several minutes or even hours. There are different types of videos like educational videos, news clips, music videos and much more. The purpose of this integration is that YouTube’s video transcripts can be converted into text documents which could be used in creating a blog post or article or to create bookmarks or tags for specific subjects. It will increase the quality of your blog post or article if you use this feature of integrating YouTube with Evernote. For example if you are writing an article on a particular topic then you can use YouTube videos related to that topic and convert them into text documents so that you can use them in your article or blog posts. There are many benefits of integrating YouTube with Evernote but the major benefit would be that it will make your blog posts more interesting and will help you in getting more readers as they will find your blog more interesting and informative. It will also increase the quality of your blog posts as well as your articles as you will be able to provide detailed information about any topic which you are writing about instead of just providing links to websites related to a topic which might not be very useful to your readers unless they visit those websites themselves. You can use text document created through this integration in academic research papers as well as blogs and articles which will add value to them so that they are more impressive and readers will like reading them.

Benefits of Integration of YouTube and Evernote:

Below are some of the benefits of integrating YouTube with Evernote:

  • It helps in gathering details related to any topics which you might be writing about which you might not be able to gather otherwise. For example if you are writing an article on “How Machines Take Over Jobs” then you can incorporate videos related to this topic created by various people who have uploaded their videos on YouTube explaining what they think about this subject matter. These videos will help you in gathering details related to this topic which might not be possible otherwise as you won’t be able to gather details from such a large number of videos through reading them individually so integrating YouTube with Evernote will help you in gathering details related to any topic which you are writing about which otherwise would not be possible.
  • It helps in making your article or blog posts look more interesting as well as informative. This again is another benefit of this integration as it will help you in adding more information about any topic which you are writing about which otherwise might not be possible if you only provide links to websites related to that topic as not everyone has time to visit every website related to a particular topic while writing a blog post or article which not everyone reads because they find them boring but if they see videos related to that topic then it will make them more interested in reading those blogs or articles as they find it more interesting and entertaining.
  • It helps in saving time as well as efforts since instead of going through all those videos you can simply convert them into text documents which you can easily copy paste into your blog posts or articles since they are already in text format so instead of watching each video separately you can simply watch them all at once and then convert them into text documents saving both your time and efforts as well as making your blog posts or articles easier to write since you won’t have to create separate paragraphs for each video but instead you can simply create one paragraph containing all those videos together saving your time as well as efforts while creating your blog posts or articles.
