Product Hunt

Product Hunt is an online platform where people share new products or services that they use on their daily basis. It's also known as "Yelp for Startups", because startups can post their product on the website and get feedback from the community. You can also see what other people are using or do on their daily basis. Product Hunt was created by Ryan Hoover in November 2013, who was behind Product Hunt for 8 months before taking a break to do something else. On June 22, 2014, he wrote an email to his friends that he was shutting down Product Hunt. But at the same time, a group of people were creating an anonymous Reddit thread to save Product Hunt. On June 26, 2014, they launched the site again but under a new domain name. ProductHunt.com. In 2015, Ryan Hoover announced that he had raised $7M in funding from Andreessen Horowitz, SV Angel and Chris Dixon. He's going to use the money to launch a new service called "The Hunt", which will help people find products before they launch.

The next step will be getting users' support for your product/service so that it gets chosen by the editors of Product Hunt for posting on the website. It may take some time until your product/service gets chosen by the editors of Product Hunt and posted on the website.

I think that it would be a nice idea to integrate Xero and Product Hunt together so that startups can easily get feedback from users regarding their products/services directly on Xero's dashboard. Let's say that a startup is using Xero/AccountRight Online (cloud-based accounting software. as its financial management software. Once it wants feedback from its users regarding its latest product/service it can just create an invoice in Xero's dashboard with the amount equal to $0, send it out via email or SMS to some of its users and all those users who got that invoice from the startup can pay for it directly via Xero (just like they do if they have purchased some goods/services from some local stores. Once these users have paid for the invoice via Xero's dashboard the startup will know whether their latest product/service is successful or not by checking how many users have paid for that invoice via Xero's dashboard. Once this experiment is done and it checks that there are enough users who have paid for it, then the startup can create a product page on Product Hunt's website with necessary details about its latest product/service and submit it to Product Hunt so that it'll be posted on the website in a few minutes after submitting it (instead of waiting days or even weeks till it gets chosen by the editors of Product Hunt. Also, I think that integration between Xero and Product Hunt will help startups find more active users who can actually buy their products/services instead of only finding non-active users who just like their products/services but don't actually buy them (you can't really know how many real active users there are for any products/services or what percentage of real active users there is if you only rely on social media channels like Facebook and Twitter.
