Patreon is a platform that allows artists to receive funding from fans. Its main focus is on artists but also supports other creators, such as writers, musicians, actors, etc. It works by allowing you to choose different tiers of patronage. Each tier has different perks and rewards for patrons. You can see these tiers here. Your patrons are able to choose which tier they would like to pledge and are charged each month. You create content and your patrons are able to support you through this service.
As both Xero and Patreon provide services for artists, I believe it would be beneficial if these two could work together. Although there is no way currently to integrate them, integrating them would make both services stronger. This is because it would provide more reason for people to use Xero or Patreon, depending on what service they use. It would also help people decide between using one or the other as it would allow them to use one for their finances and one for their art. For example, an artist may use Xero for their finances and Patreon for their art. Furthermore, integration would increase customer loyalty and satisfaction as patrons could continue supporting their favourite creative individuals through the same platform they use for their finances. This is especially important in today’s world where customers are becoming increasingly more fickle and companies need to provide them with reasons to stick around.
I believe the benefits of integration could be summarised into three major categories. cost effectiveness, ease of use, and customer experience. Firstly, through integration the cost of using both services would decrease as they would be using the same platform. In addition to this, the amount of time needed to use both services would decrease as information could be easily copied between the two platforms. Thirdly, integration would provide a better user experience as users would not have to spend time looking up different platforms or logging into different accounts when they want to access different features. This is especially true in Xero’s case as it is used for both finances and art whereas Patreon is only used for art. Finally, integration would increase customer loyalty as it would provide a better reason for using both services at once. In addition to this, integration would provide a single place where fans could continue supporting their favourite creative individuals through the same platform they use for their finances. This is especially important in today’s world where customers are becoming increasingly more fickle and companies need to provide them with reasons to stick around.
