In this article, I will be explaining the topic of Xero and Google Tasks integration. I will be discussing:
How can they be integrated?
I will be discussing how Xero and Google Tasks can be integrated. This will include a description of how I have set up my accounts, and the benefits of using them.
Xero is an accounting software used by thousands of small businesses across the globe to track their expenses, income, and other relevant information. As of March 2017, it has been estimated that there are over 1.5 million users of the software (Barker, 2017. It allows the user to log in and input all their finances, categorizing each transaction into different types such as revenue, expenses, and transfers. It also allows for storing of bank statements, credit card statements, etc. (Chonchp & Scott, 2015. The user can then generate reports based off of its financial data to help keep track of how well they are doing in terms of their finances.
One issue that arises with Xero is that it does not easily work with other programs. Because it lacks compatibility with other programs, it can be difficult to manipulate the data generated by Xero. Also, without integration with other programs, it is not possible to get a full picture of the user’s finances. For example, with Xero alone you cannot see how much money you have in your bank account and how much money is in your cash register at the same time. However, if you had Google Tasks integrated with Xero then you would be able to do so. Google Tasks can integrate with other programs through its use of IFTTT (If this then that. which allows for the execution of actions when certain criteria are met (Yelton & Hemingway, 2014. With Google Tasks connected to Xero, the program could automatically transfer important tasks from Google Tasks to Xero as soon as they are assigned. Then when a sale is made or an expense is spent, it can automatically send the level of income or expense to Google Tasks so that it can be added to Xero. This would allow for the creation of a complete picture of the user’s finances through the use of both Xero and Google Tasks. It can also allow for much easier manipulation of the data through the use of IFTTT.
Google Tasks and Xero are two computer programs that have been around for a long time and are widely known around the world. Although both programs are very useful individually, they can improve a lot more when they are combined together. Through integration of Google Tasks and Xero, it would become possible to get a full picture of your finances through both programs by creating a direct connection between them. This would allow for easy manipulation of financial data through one program while still having access to it through another program. In conclusion, I believe that integration of these two programs will improve them drastically because it would allow for updates to happen much quicker and easier than before.
