Integration of WordPress and Veeqo

WordPress and Veeqo are two platforms that allow the creation of online stores. They both generate revenue through membership subscriptions and advertisements. This paper will compare and contrast these two platforms to see if they can be integrated into one system.

Integration of WordPress and Veeqo

WordPress is an open-source content management system (CMS), which allows users to create blogs, websites and mobile apps. WordPress is based on PHP and MySQL, which are programming languages that are widely used in the web industry. The CMS was created by Matt Mullenweg and Mike Little in 2003. WordPress has over 70 million websites installed worldwide. Over 24% of internet users use WordPress as their CMS. It has become very popular due to its ease of use.

Veeqo is an ecommerce platform built for small-to-mid-sized businesses. It allows you to track inventory, manage orders, view reports, communicate with customers, and more. Veeqo offers many features for its membership plans. These include customer history, customer feedback, order history, product reviews, product ratings, order details, price tracking, order customization, real-time shipping rates, customer groups, customizable email templates, printable invoices, automated email reminders, importing products from multiple sites, Google Analytics integration, multi-store support, bulk editing of orders and products, custom fields for products and orders, CSV import top, an image gallery to display products, export options for your data, multiple payment gateway integrations, private labeling support, tax support for products and orders, coupons support for products and orders, subscription support for products and orders, product cplection support, social sharing options for products and orders, bulk deleting options for products and orders, bulk editing options for products and orders, password protection for certain pages of your store, automatic URL shortening with bitly integration, Facebook Open Graph integration for product pages, Pinterest “Pin it” button for product pages, Instagram integration for product pages, custom CSS styling capabilities, custom JavaScript capabilities and much more!

Both systems have similar features but differ in how they work together. WordPress is better suited to blogging while Veeqo is suited to ecommerce. Veeqo requires you to integrate third party plugins because it does not come with all the functionality required to run a typical online store. This means that you will need an app like WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads to process payments through your website. If your website runs on WordPress then you do not need external plugins or apps to build an ecommerce store. You can do it directly from your WordPress dashboard.

Benefits of Integration of WordPress and Veeqo

Both systems are great at what they do; however, they are not perfect for everyone. There are times when integrating the two systems can be advantageous. Let’s look at examples where the combination of WordPress and Veeqo would make sense.

Some online stores may want to have a blog as well as an ecommerce store on the same website. In this case the combination of WordPress and Veeqo would be ideal because WooCommerce can be integrated with Veeqo so that you can sell products from your blog posts without having to change from one ecommerce platform to another. You can also use a theme that integrates both platforms on a single page. Some themes might show a webpage that includes a blog with a sidebar widget showing recently added products from your store. It is important that you consider whether you would prefer a theme with a blog or without a blog before buying a theme from a third party site.

Another advantage is that if you plan on having a theme that integrates both platforms on a single page then you will need to choose the right theme from the start because it will be difficult to change once it is installed on your website unless you have experience coding HTML/CSS yourself. For more information on this please refer to the “E-Commerce & Blogging” section below.

If you would like to switch from one platform to another then you will find that this is an easy process with WordPress and Veeqo because they are both open source systems. This means that you can easily move from one platform to another as long as you have access to your database through phpMyAdmin or some other hosting contrp panel. WordPress has a database called mySQL while Veeqo uses MYSQL as well. When you install WordPress it will ask you if you would like to import data from another website if it detects any tables with compatible structure in your database. If you import data from another database then you will lose all your current content. posts, pages and images if you use WordPress or products and members if you use Veeqo. If you just want to keep the basic data then you will need to export it using phpMyAdmin or cPanel before importing it again after the transfer. This way you will retain all your posts/products/members/customers etc., but everything else will be reset including permalinks, categories and tags. This is why it is important to make sure that everything is backed up before importing data from another site if you decide to migrate between platforms later on down the road. We recommend that you test out both systems for at least one month before making the decision to switch permanently if possible!

Both WordPress and Veeqo are great systems; however we think they should not be merged into one system because they serve different purposes and seem to appeal to different kinds of people. WordPress is better suited for blogs while Veeqo is better suited for ecommerce stores. People who want both ecommerce and blogging features should consider using both platforms simultaneously rather than trying to combine them into one system. The reason we say this is because it will be challenging to create an integrated system where blog posts could be linked to specific products in your store and vice versa just like how it works with our Theme Hybrid theme! Otherwise the only thing we recommend merging together is your databases if you decide to switch platforms later down the road just to save time!
