Drip?

Drip is an email marketing automation platform which was acquired by Leadpages in February 2016. It allows you to create, send, and track your email campaigns.

Integration of WordPress and Drip

Integrating WordPress and Drip can empower your business by growing your email list through your website. It helps you convert visitors into subscribers for future promotions, increase brand awareness, and generate more sales.

There are 5 ways to integrate WordPress and Drip:

  • Use a plugin like WordPress SEO by Yoast or All in One SEO Pack to add metadata to your post and pages. This will enable Drip to automatically pull content from your posts to create drip emails. If there is no matching content in the posts/pages to be used in the email then you can add content manually. You can add images, videos, and other multimedia. You can add links, contact details, pricing information, and even eBooks to your drip campaign.
  • Add an embed code to your blog posts. This will allow Drip to pull content from your website when creating drip campaigns. You can create a shortcode and add it to your theme’s functions file or in the editor of your post/page. You can place the embed code anywhere in your blog post so that it does not look too invasive to the user.
  • Drip also integrates with WordPress membership sites such as WooCommerce and Siteground Membership Pro to create an email list for your members. It will automatically add new members to your email list when they purchase a membership or register for an event. This helps to create a relationship with new members, increase their loyalty, and establish trust. With the use of Drip’s advanced features, you can set a welcome series of emails, a drip series for a product launch, a drip series for a webinar, and much more.
  • Create a lead magnet using a top like Leadpages or Optinmonster which you can offer in exchange for email address. When someone signs up for the lead magnet you add them to your email list with Drip. This way you can cplect emails from people who have opted in for the lead magnet but did not sign up for your email list through your website.
  • You can also add a signup form that visitors can fill out to subscribe to receive email updates from you. You can insert a shortcode in any page or post of your WordPress website to display the form so that users have quick access to it near the top of each page or post they visit on your website. After subscribing users will be sent a confirmation email from Drip so that they can confirm their subscription before receiving emails from you. After confirming their subscription the user will be added to your email list and will receive drip emails from you in the future. You can also use this option if you have a WordPress membership site where users cannot choose from a variety of lead magnets to download from. Instead you can create several different lead magnets that users can choose from in exchange for an email address.

Using these methods you will be able to integrate WordPress and Drip together in order to gather email addresses from visitors who visit your website.
